When I saw this Russian beauty in the film ‘Anna’, she had me looking for her photos right away.\u00a0 That was two years ago.\u00a0 I didn’t feature her then because, well…\u00a0 I got a little selfish and didn’t want to share my crush with anyone.\u00a0 Yup, kinda’ assholic really.\u00a0 But hey, Sasha Luss<\/a> is here now and all of you readers (to those who haven’t seen that movie yet and those who are not familiar with her) can now enjoy (with your eyes, of course) the hotness she possesses.<\/p>\n

Who is Sasha Luss?<\/h2>\n

Sasha is a Russian fashion model<\/a> and actress<\/a> who is known for her runway work for brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Givenchy.\u00a0 She’s been featured in a variety of international magazines, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.<\/p>\n

Sasha made her film debut as Princess L\u00efhio-Minaa in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017), and then headlined the action thriller Anna (2019), in the title role.<\/p>\n

Her Early Life<\/h2>\n

Sasha Luss was born on June 6, 1992, in Magadan, Magadan Oblast and moved to Moscow at a young age.\u00a0 As a child, she had no interest in pursuing a modeling career, preferring to spend her time writing and dancing.\u00a0 She frequently participated in ballet competitions before she suffered an ankle injury which prevented her from continuing her hobby.<\/p>\n

When Sasha was turning 14 years of age, her mother took her to visit a modeling agency, where she was instantly signed. Her grandmother was initially resistant to the idea of her entering the modeling industry…\u00a0 claiming that modeling is a terrible, immoral business.<\/p>\n

Career Journey<\/h2>\n

At the age of 14, Sasha signed with IQ Models in Moscow.\u00a0 Shortly after turning 16 years old, she walked in her very first fashion show for Alena Akhmadullina during Moscow Fashion Week Spring\/Summer 2008.\u00a0 She quickly shot to fame in the Russian fashion industry and was featured in multiple issues of Vogue Russia and L’Officiel Russia in 2008.\u00a0 She signed with DNA Model Management, which flew her to Europe and New York, where she walked in fashion shows for designers such as DKNY and Antonio Marras.\u00a0 Despite these successful bookings, her career failed to take off, and she returned to Russia to complete her education.\u00a0 Luss decided to sign with Elite Model Management in Paris and Women Management in Milan as a development model and, in 2011, left her mother agency, IQ Models, to join Avant Models.<\/p>\n

Since then, Sasha has appeared in campaign ads for high-fashion brands, such as Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Lanvin, Dior Beauty, Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, Tommy Hilfiger, LA Perla, Karl Lagerfeld, Moschino, Carolina Herrera, and Moncler.<\/p>\n

Sasha was awarded the honor “Model of the Year” by Glamour Russia in 2013.<\/p>\n

She has also been featured in some of the world’s most influential fashion magazines.\u00a0 She has been featured four times on the cover of Num\u00e9ro, twice on the cover of Vogue Russia, including the 13th-anniversary edition, and also on the cover of Vogue Italia. In May 2015, she appeared on the cover of Vogue China. Luss has been captured by some of the world’s most influential fashion photographers, including Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, Karl Lagerfeld, Inez and Vinoodh, Mert and Marcus, Willy Vanderperre, Patrick Demarchelier, Paolo Roversi, Steven Klein, and appearing in magazines such as W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Germany, Vogue China, Vogue Japan, Vogue Russia, AnOther Magazine, Interview, CR Fashion Book, V Magazine and more.<\/p>\n

Sasha was captured for Lanvin and Chanel by her long-time supporter Karl Lagerfeld for the fashion house’s Spring\/Summer 2014 ad campaigns.\u00a0 Shortly after this, she landed the biggest job of her career, as the new face of Dior Beauty.\u00a0 Sasha starred in the 2014 Fall\/Winter Versace Jeans AD Campaign and was selected by casting director Jennifer Starr for the 2015 Pirelli Calendar.<\/p>\n
