Tiffani Thiessen is an American actress<\/a>, producer, and celebrity cook.\u00a0 She is best known for appearing in TV series like \u2018Saved by the Bell\u2019 and \u2018Beverly Hills, 90210.\u2019\u00a0 Her acting earned her Young Artist Award nominations in 1990, 1992, and 1993.\u00a0 She also starred on the show White Collar and later Alexa & Katie.\u00a0 Over the course of her acting career, she went on to appear in many movies and series, which has constantly kept her in the spotlight.\u00a0 She proved her versatility when she ventured into production and direction, later emerging as a celebrity cook and hosting her own show.\u00a0 She also does a lot of charity work and has won accolades for the same.<\/p>\n

Tiffani Amber Thiessen was born on January 23, 1974, in Long Beach, California, USA, to Robyn, a homemaker, and Frank Thiessen, a park designer, and landscape architect.\u00a0 Her elder brother Todd is a professional cyclist. She also has a younger brother named Schyler.\u00a0 She spent the majority of her childhood participating in beauty pageants, winning titles such as Miss Junior America.\u00a0 She went to \u2018Cubberley Elementary\u2019 and \u2018Marshall Junior High School’ and later studied at \u2018Valley Professional High School\u2019 in Los Angeles and graduated as a valedictorian.<\/p>\n

Tiffani was exposed to showbiz early in her life when she landed her first commercial at the age of eight.\u00a0 Yup, her uncle suggested that she try acting and modeling.\u00a0 Soon afterward, she appeared in her first TV commercial, for Peaches and Cream Barbie.\u00a0 From there she started competing in several beauty pageants and, in 1987, she won the Miss Junior America pageant.<\/p>\n

She got her big break when she was cast as the popular cheerleader Kelly Kapowski on the NBC series Saved by the Bell (1989), which lasted for five years. Coinciding with the cancellation of the short-lived Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993), in 1994, she landed the role of \u2018Valerie Malone\u2019 on Aaron Spelling\u2019s long-running hit series \u2018Beverley Hills 90210.\u2019\u00a0 She played the role for 136 episodes till 1998, before leaving the show to pursue her movie career.\u00a0 The result was two independent movies, followed by two comedies and then Hollywood Ending (2002), in which she starred alongside Woody Allen.<\/p>\n

She was also featured in movies like \u2018The Stranger Beside Me\u2019 (1995), \u2018She Fought Alone\u2019 (1995), and \u2018Sweet Dreams\u2018(1996).\u00a0 She co-produced as well as starred in \u2018Buried Secrets\u2019 (1996).<\/p>\n

From 2009 to 2014, she appeared as \u2018Elizabeth Burke\u2019 in USA Network\u2019s crime series \u2018White Collar.\u2019\u00a0 She later joined the main cast of Netflix\u2019s sitcom \u2018Alexa & Katie\u2019 where she played \u2018Lori,\u2019 the mother of the titular character \u2018Alexa.\u2019 The show aired from 2018 to 2020.<\/p>\n

As the result of Tiffani\u2019s outstanding acting and her appreciable modeling, she has several awards and honors under her name.\u00a0 She was nominated for \u2018Young Artist Awards\u2019 for \u2018Outstanding Young Ensemble Cast\u2019 (1990), \u2018Best Young Actress Starring in an Off-Prime-Time or Cable Series\u2019 (1992), and \u2018Best Young Actress in an Off-Prime-Time Series\u2019 (1993) for her portrayal of \u2018Kelly Kapowski\u2019 in the popular series \u2018Saved by the Bell.\u2019<\/p>\n

Both of Tiffani’s parents have English and German ancestry, and her other roots include Scottish, Scots-Irish (Northern Irish), and Welsh. Tiffani was offered a role on Charmed in 2001 to replace Shannen Doherty but turned it down.<\/p>\n
