Nicole is a well-known American recording artist<\/a>, actress<\/a>, and TV personality.\u00a0 She initially gained fame as a participant in the reality TV show \u2018Popstars.\u2019\u00a0 She later became the lead singer of the musical group \u2018The Pussycat Dolls\u2019 which eventually became one of the world\u2019s most popular and best-selling girl groups.<\/p>\n

Her debut studio album \u2018Killer Love\u2019 was released in 2011. With hit singles, such as \u2018Poison\u2019 and \u2018Don\u2019t Hold Your Breath,\u2019 the album was a commercial success, and became the year\u2019s 20th best-selling album by a female artist.<\/p>\n

Her Early Life<\/h2>\n

Nicole Scherzinger was born Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente on 29 June 29, 1978, in Honolulu, Hawaii.\u00a0 Her father Alfonso Valiente is of Filipino descent, while her mother Rosemary Elikolani is of Native Hawaiian and Ukrainian ancestry.\u00a0 Nicole’s parents separated when she was still a baby.\u00a0 Her mother later married Gary Scherzinger, whose surname Nicole eventually adopted.<\/p>\n

Later, she joined another all-girl band named \u2018The Pussycat Dolls.\u2019\u00a0 The group\u2019s debut album \u2018PCD\u2019 was released in September 2005.\u00a0 It included hit singles, such as \u2018Don\u2019t Cha\u2019 and \u2018Wait a Minute.\u2019\u00a0 Debuting at number five on the \u2018US Billboard 200,\u2019 the album became a huge commercial success and has sold over seven million copies worldwide.<\/p>\n

After the success of the group\u2019s debut album, Nicole began working on her first solo album.\u00a0 Around the same time, she also started working for the group\u2019s second album \u2018Doll Domination.\u2019\u00a0 In September 2008, \u2018Doll Domination’ was released and peaked at the fourth position on the \u2018US Billboard 200.\u2019\u00a0 However, the album didn\u2019t perform well commercially.\u00a0 It received mostly mixed reviews from critics.<\/p>\n

In 2010, after she had quit the band, Nicole was seen in the American dance competition series \u2018Dancing with the Stars where she won the competition along with her dance partner Derek Hough.
