Who is Laura Whitmore?<\/h2>\n

Laura is an Irish actress<\/a>, model<\/a>, writer, and TV presenter who is most famous for co-presenting the series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here from 2011 until 2015.\u00a0 In January 2020, she became the host of both Love Island and its spinoff series, Love Island: Aftersun. In September 2020, she replaced Mel B as a team captain on Celebrity Juice.\u00a0 She has also appeared in 4.3.2.1. (2010), Sadhbh (2020), and Grace and Goliath (2018).<\/p>\n

Laura Whitmore was born on May 4, 1985, in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland to parents Carmel Whitmore and Sean McIvor.\u00a0 She attended Loreto Secondary School, before studying journalism at Dublin City University.<\/p>\n

In April 2008, MTV Networks Europe launched a campaign Pick Me MTV where Laura competed against other contestants to become the face of MTV News in MTV Europe.\u00a0 Laura beat the other competitors and landed herself a job as the face of MTV News in Europe.\u00a0 Between 2008 and 2015, she hosted news bulletins for MTV in Ireland, the UK, and pan-European MTV channels.\u00a0 She was regularly seen on MTV News hosting special events in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe.<\/p>\n

In 2011 she replaced Caroline Flack on ITV2’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! NOW! and in 2012 she hosted the BRIT Awards alongside Keith Lemon.\u00a0 In the summer of 2012, she appeared on the RT\u00c9 television talk show, Saturday Night with Miriam, after carrying the 2012 Summer Olympics torch.<\/p>\n
