Alexa Bliss<\/a>‘ leg drop… now that is something.\u00a0 Have you seen the Judge Dredd movie?\u00a0 No, not the Stallone one.\u00a0 The newer one where Lena Heady was pushing this drug called slo-mo where everything would be in slow motion when you take it.\u00a0 Alexa’s leg drop to you would be like that…\u00a0 Savor the sight of that leg of hers.<\/p>\n

Who is Alexa Bliss?<\/h2>\n

Alexa is an American professional wrestler who is currently signed to the WWE.\u00a0 In 2013, Bliss signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to their Performance Center and developmental brand NXT.\u00a0 She made her main roster debut on the SmackDown brand in 2016, later becoming a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion and the first woman to hold the title twice.<\/p>\n

Alexa was transferred to the Raw brand in 2017 and would go on to become a three-time Raw Women’s Champion, with her initial reign making her the first woman to win both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s titles.\u00a0 She and Nikki Cross are also the first two-time Women’s Tag Team Champions in WWE history, making Bliss the second Women’s Triple Crown Champion.\u00a0 In 2018, she won both the second women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and the first women’s Elimination Chamber match.<\/p>\n

Her Early Life<\/h2>\n

Alexis Joann-Louise Kaufman was born on August 9, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio.\u00a0 She has been involved in sports since the age of five, competing in track, kickboxing, softball, and gymnastics.\u00a0 She was also a cheerleader at Hilliard Davidson High School and reached Division I status at the University of Akron, where she graduated with an M.A. in medical dietetics.<\/p>\n

Alexa spent time in competitive fitness competitions and has competed in the Arnold Classic. At the age of 15, she suffered from a life-threatening eating disorder, but turning to fitness competitions helped her overcome it.<\/p>\n

Career Journey<\/h2>\n

In May 2013, Kaufman signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.\u00a0 In May 2015, she aligned herself with NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy, thus becoming their valet.\u00a0 Alexa made her main roster debut in June 2015 and was challenged for the WWE Divas Championship later that month.\u00a0 She won the WWE Mixed Tag Team Championship in November 2015 on Raw with Finn B\u00e1lor and they held it until September the following year after B\u00e1lor’s legitimate shoulder injury.\u00a0 She won her first singles title at Unforgiven 2016 winning the WWE Women’s Championship from Ana Sanchez and lost it on Raw to Bayley who cashed in her Money in the Bank contract.<\/p>\n

At the 2017 Royal Rumble Bliss became the first woman in almost 17 years to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.\u00a0 On the June 20, 2016, episode of Raw Bliss defeated Charlotte to become the number one contender to Ana Sanchez’s WWE Women’s Championship. During the 2016 WWE draft Bliss was drafted 53rd overall to Raw.\u00a0 On July 24 Bliss defeated Ana Sanchez at Unforgiven to win her first WWE Women’s Championship.\u00a0 At SummerSlam Bliss faced off against Dana Brooke, Taeler Hendrix, Charlotte, Eve Torres, and Sasha Banks in a six-pack elimination match Bliss only got the final elimination pinning Banks following a Twisted Bliss.\u00a0 Alexa then defended it the following night on Raw successfully against Becky Lynch after she won a fatal four-way at SummerSlam to become number one contender Bliss then successfully defended it Starrcade inside of the elimination chamber taking on Banks, Charlotte, Hendrix, Bayley and Becky Lynch, Alexa pinned Banks following a Twisted Bliss and then Lynch following a chokehold STO.\u00a0 Alexa would face off against Charlotte on the October 17, 2016, episode of Raw defeating her, then Bayley would cash in her Money in the Bank contract pinning Bliss and claiming her first Women’s Championship.<\/p>\n

At Vengeance Alexa and Bayley faced off inside Hell in a Cell in the main event with Bayley successfully defending her championship.\u00a0 On Raw, the following night Bliss faced off against Nia Jax but was defeated this meant that Jax qualified for the Survivor Series team to take on Team SmackDown. December 19, 2016’s episode of Raw, Alexa took part in a fatal four-way for the WWE Women’s Championship against champion Bayley, Becky Lynch and Ana Sanchez with Bayley retaining her title.\u00a0 On the December 26, 2016, episode of Raw Bliss announced her participation in the women’s royal rumble at the Royal Rumble.\u00a0 Alexa then won an intergender fatal four-way against Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins to become the number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship.\u00a0 She defeated F\u00e9nix at the Royal Rumble to become the first woman since Chyna in 2000 to win the title.\u00a0 She successfully defended the belt at WrestleMania 33 against Ana Sanchez but she ultimately lost the belt to Grado on April 24, 2017’s episode of Raw in an intergender fatal four-way including Bayley and Randy Orton.<\/p>\n
