Alexa is an English television presenter, fashion designer, and former fashion model<\/a>. She has walked for Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, and Miu Miu, as well as been the face of Pepe Jeans, Lacoste, DKNY Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, and Longchamp.<\/p>\n

Alexa Chung was born in Winchester, Hampshire, England, the youngest of four children, and grew up in nearby Privett.\u00a0 The daughter of Gillian and Phillip Chung.\u00a0 Her father, a graphic designer, has Chinese ancestry via three grandparents and English lineage through one, but her mother, a homemaker, is English.\u00a0 She had horseback riding and dance training growing up.<\/p>\n

Alexa credits the BBC One programme The Clothes Show with sparking her interest in fashion as a child.\u00a0 She was discovered after appearing in the comedy tent at the Reading Festival at the age of 16, and she has posed for teen magazines such as Elle Girl and CosmoGIRL!Fanta, Sony Ericsson, Sunsilk, Urban Outfitters, and Tampax are among the companies where he has worked.<\/p>\n

Alexa’s distinct personal style has inspired several fashion designers.\u00a0 She regularly appears on best-dressed lists, models for Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar, and sits in the front row at fashion shows.<\/p>\n

Mulberry, a designer handbag business, launched the “Alexa” in January 2010, a popular bag named after and inspired by her.\u00a0 According to The Guardian, 380 “Alexa” bags were sold in a single week in November 2010, and the firm attributed the bag’s success to higher sales in its UK and worldwide stores that year.<\/p>\n

Alexa contributed a monthly column to the British women’s magazine Company from October 2007 until June 2008.\u00a0 From November 2008 to June 2009, she authored a weekly newspaper column for Britain’s The Independent under the titles “Girl About Town” and later “New York Doll”. Alexa lived with David Titlow, a fashion photographer 20 years her senior, for three and a half years from 2003 to 2006.\u00a0 She was in a four-year relationship with Arctic Monkeys vocalist Alex Turner from July 2007 to July 2011; they lived together in London and then in New York, where Alexa bought an apartment in the East Village.\u00a0 In a 2013 interview, Alexa revealed that Turner was still her “best friend”.\u00a0 The former couple was photographed together on several occasions in 2014.\u00a0 She dated actor Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd from 2015 to early 2017.<\/p>\n
