Kiko’s influence extended well beyond the catwalk.\u00a0 She appeared on magazine covers and in editorials across Asia, Europe, and the United States, working with an impressive range of publications.\u00a0 Her Vogue appearances included editions from Japan, China, Taiwan, and Italy, as well as American Vogue, Vogue Girl Japan, and L’Uomo Vogue.\u00a0 She also featured in magazines such as Nylon, Num\u00e9ro, ViVi, Seventeen, Grazia, GQ, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, V Magazine, Another Magazine, Dazed, Cosmopolitan, and Jalouse, among others.\u00a0 At this point, her r\u00e9sum\u00e9 was practically a magazine rack.<\/p>\n

Her commercial work was just as impressive.\u00a0 Kiko appeared in advertising campaigns for brands including Diesel, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Vivienne Tam, Reebok, Kitsun\u00e9, Tiffany & Co., and Shiseido.\u00a0 She also became an ambassador for Chanel, one of fashion’s most recognizable luxury houses. In 2012, legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld photographed her for Chanel’s The Little Black Jacket campaign.\u00a0 Then, in December 2013, she took part in Chanel’s M\u00e9tiers d’Art show in Dallas, Texas\u2014a return to the state where she was born, only this time with a rather more glamorous itinerary.<\/p>\n

She kept the creative streak going in 2014, launching her Spring\/Summer Girlfriend of the Rockstar collection before following it with Disco Bowling, a Fall\/Winter line inspired by the bold style of the 1980s.\u00a0 She also collaborated with photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and designer Yoshikazu Yamagata for the opening of Opening Ceremony’s first Osaka branch.\u00a0 Clearly, her calendar had little room for a quiet season.<\/p>\n

In 2016, she established Kiko Co., Ltd., commonly known as Office Kiko.\u00a0 The following year, she launched her own designer brand, OK, which quickly began working on fashion, art, and lifestyle products with various collaborators.\u00a0 In 2018, Office Kiko announced a footwear partnership with Esperanza, a Japanese shoe company catering to young women, bringing a new line of boots and shoes into the mix.<\/p>\n
