25-year old model Kate Bock<\/a> has come a long way from a humble upbringing in West Vancouver to being on the cover of every sexy magazine like Maxim<\/a>, Elle, and Sports Illustrated<\/a>.\u00a0 She\u2019s also walked for many runway shows including Victoria\u2019s Secret fashion show.\u00a0 Scroll down to know more about this bombshell Canadian model.<\/p>\n

How Kate Bock Started Modelling<\/h2>\n

Like most models, Kate Bock\u2019s modelling career started when she was young.\u00a0 She described herself as tall, gangly, and thin.\u00a0 She was a 12-year old swimmer at that time.\u00a0 It was an agent who lives in the same area that discovered Kate.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe spotted me, and it was literally the next week that I started working with Abercrombie Kids and at mall fashion shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

After graduating high school from West Vancouver Secondary School, Kate moved to Paris and still continued to model.<\/p>\n

\u201cModelling was kind of like, \u2018I\u2019ll try it; it sounds cool\u2019 and then here I am, still doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Did She Ever Had Insecurities?<\/h2>\n

Most people would have insecurities but for a beautiful babe like Kate, it seems like it should be quite impossible.\u00a0 However, it seems that like most models went through that awkward stage and felt insecure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had braces, I had it all\u2014I never thought of myself as beautiful. I was really into sports. I played baseball and soccer and I was a swimmer and I played field hockey. I never really thought about modeling, and then when I was discovered, I was like, “Oh cool, someone might think that of me,” Kate confessed.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t really her dream to become a model but when she started doing auditions, commercials, and other modelling jobs, she got into it and didn\u2019t want to stop.<\/p>\n

Her Paris Life<\/h2>\n

Paris was a big part of Kate\u2019s life especially her modelling career. Since Vancouver doesn\u2019t have many opportunities for modelling, she needed to move to Paris, learn French.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first moved to Paris, I lived in a tiny model apartment with two bunk beds and three roommates.\u00a0 We had five, 10, 15 castings day after day, and we didn\u2019t have smartphones then; we had our MacBooks and we\u2019d get the faxes of our schedule and roam around the city from casting to casting with our little metro map.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Being a Sports Illustrated Model<\/h2>\n

Ever since Kate appeared on the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Magazine in 2013, she\u2019s been a constant.\u00a0 She\u2019s definitely a favorite and she even won \u201cRookie of the Year\u201d for her first appearance.<\/p>\n

Although she\u2019s getting the hang of her life as a model, Kate admits there are times when she feels weird about this dynamic. \u201c [Sometimes] when my good friends look at a picture they\u2019re like, “I can\u2019t picture you doing that.\u00a0 It looks good and you look great, but not like the person that I know or grew up with.”\u00a0 You just kind of slowly but surely get more comfortable.\u00a0 By now it\u2019s just second nature, but I did not grow up wearing bikinis and practicing any of these poses.\u201d<\/p>\n
