Chloe Ting was born in Brunei on April 7, 1990, but later moved to Melbourne, Australia, following high school. She studied business statistics and earned three degrees from Monash University, including a Master of Philosophy.

Chloe worked as an actuarial analyst before launching his YouTube channel. She has written a thesis on financial markets and served as both a presenter and chairperson at the Australasian Finance and Banking Conference. Chloe launched her self-titled YouTube channel in 2011, while still working in statistics. She began posting videos in March 2016, when she was 29 years old. Chloe filed a defamation case against an individual and a firm in 2021 after they made defamatory comments and information about her and her channel. She released a video in August 2023 titled “Finally talking about it,” in which she announced that the legal proceedings had been completed in her favor and that she had received settlement sum settlements from both sides.
Chloe also relocated to Singapore in 2021 after leaving Melbourne. Chloe left Singapore in 2023 and is currently living in New York. She is reported to have minor intestine bacterial overgrowth.
