There is something about horror movies back in the day (oh, you mean when you were younger? -editor) that makes us get hooked up. And no, we’re not just talking about the thrills and the jump scare pranks we play on our friends while we’re watching. No, not just that… It’s the horny side of the tale. Oh, you very well know what I’m talking about. Especially in B-movies, man. The nudes! THE NUDES! And the R-rated fucking, really.
At those times, there was no pornhub nor any adult sites. And it’s kind of embarrassing to rent a Triple X movie. So the closest thing was to ask around about the best horror flick with nudes. And so, folks, here to make you scared and horny at the same time. And admit it, back in the day, you used these kinds of flicks to… uhm, yeah, it was the Netflix and chill then.
And no, we are not including a lot of slasher films here. Just to be clear, the topic here is the most unforgettable sex scenes in horror movies. So, let’s go
Vampyros Lesbos (1971)
There is nothing sexier than vampires. Elves, you say? This is a horror we are talking about but yeah, there are dark elves but… Let’s just pretend we are less geeky today than we usually are. Okay, so vampires. The sexiest mythical horror creatures. This German movie features them and it is one heck of a sexual film. This one is laden with lots of nudity and unconventional sex scenes. The opening scenes are quite unforgettable.
This film opens with a woman sexually dancing (and gyrating) in front of a mirror. She then seduces a woman posing as a mannequin. Oh, and the entire girl-on-girl performance took place in a public art show.
Daughters of Darkness (1971)
Harry Kümel, a Belgian director, created Daughters of Darkness, an erotic horror movie. It is based on the vampire legend of Elizabeth Bathory, a Hungarian countess who is claimed to have murdered hundreds of women and bathed in their blood to stay young.
The setting of this film is in the present (if you could call the 70s the present) and tells the story of a newlywed couple who, on their supposedly happy honeymoon in Belgium, met Bathory and Ilona. Bathory and Ilona seduce the spouse, resulting in a dramatic, adulterous sex scene that begins tenderly and ends with screams and death.
The Demoniacs (1974)
This French horror is about rape and revenge and is a hairline away from softcore pornography. The film follows two women seeking vengeance after being raped by a gang of thugs on a beach. You can choose your favorite sex scene from the film, but the most significant is when one of the ladies has sex with the Devil (while the other woman watches) to earn the magical powers required to slay their foes. There is also a woman in clown makeup who helps a man watch the ruins where the Devil is imprisoned.
This film is quite strange… But it’s worth watching.
Sleepaway Camp (1983)
Now, this is one of those summer camp movies where everyone is just as horny as a rabbit in heat, and almost everyone winds up dead. The final scene is something that you should watch for yourself.
Sleepaway Camp is worth a watch and I must say, it is pretty damn good. So good that a critic from Rotten Tomatoes described this as “an atypical slasher movie that blurs the lines between high and low art, good and bad acting, male and female, proficiency and ineptitude, sophistication, and primitivism.”
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)
Now, here is a film that a lot of you are familiar with. Ah, yes, brings you back to the 80s, huh?
While Wes Craven’s initial Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) contained few sexual overtones and was quite moderate in comparison to other 1980s horror films, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors is considerably different. The film, which was not directed by Craven, is set largely in a psychiatric ward where kids from Elm Street are struggling with Freddy Krueger nightmares. Joey, one of the patients, has a crush on a nurse, so the teen boy fantasizes about the nurse stripping down to a white thong and joining him in bed. Unfortunately for Joey, the nurse is Freddy in disguise.
Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
Monica Bellucci. That’s it. ‘Nuff said.
This film is a visually gorgeous and sensually charged adaptation of the famous novel. Choosing the best sex scene in Francis Ford Coppola’s film is mostly subjective. Jonathan Harker (Keanu Reeves) gets enticed by Dracula’s brides early in the film, which includes nudity and biting in highly sensitive areas. For those wanting something new, later in the film, Lucy (Sadie Frost), when under Dracula’s (Gary Oldman) control, sexually engages Dracula while he is disguised as a werewolf.
American Psycho (2000)
Director Mary Harron turned Bret Easton Ellis’ horrific novel American Psycho into a bizarre cult masterpiece. The film is dark, weird, hilarious, and possibly even sexual if you think Christian Bale‘s portrayal of a deranged serial murderer is appealing. The most famous sex scene is when Bale’s character, Patrick Bateman, brings two prostitutes to his Manhattan apartment and films them having sex.
The thing that made the sex scene famous was that Batman er Bale’s character is more into looking in the mirror than having steamy sex.
Teeth (2007)
Oh, yes! An instant classic when it came out.
Teeth, directed by Mitchell Lichtenstein, tells the story of Dawn (Jess Weixler), who has a real-life case of vagina dentata, a mystical condition in which the vagina possesses Teeth. Dawn is taken advantage of by several people during the film, but she ensures that none of them will ever take advantage of anybody else again. Dawn uses her teeth-filled vagina to “bite” off her stepbrother’s penis in the middle of a sexual encounter in one particularly memorable sex scene.
Jennifer’s Body (2009)
Jennifer’s Body’s lesbian sex and kissing scene starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried was highly marketed and hyped when it originally came out. In fact, the movie was targeted mostly to horny men. The reality is that this sex scene was only a small part of the film, and later audiences viewed Jennifer’s Body as more of a feminist manifesto. Nonetheless, the two-minute love scene is remembered as one of the most iconic sensual moments in horror film history.
Dark Shadows (2012)
Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows is a film version of the gothic television series of the same name. While TV episodes, at least those that were broadcast before the advent of streaming, aren’t known for steamy sex scenes, this version contains Johnny Depp and Eva Green in an unforgettable love scene. Barnabas (Depp) is a vampire, and Angie (Green) is a witch, and they fight fiercely throughout the film, flying around and wrecking everything in the room while copulating.
See No Evil 2 (2014)
This one is a slasher film that went straight to video. The Soska sisters combined horror and sex in a sequence that clearly depicts necrophilia (sexual attraction to dead bodies). Tamara (Katharine Isabelle) and Carter (Lee Majdoub) leave their group of friends to find the body of serial killer Jacob Goodnight (Glenn Jacobs, alias Kane). They find Jacob, and Tamara, who is obsessed with death and killers, is intrigued by the corpse. Tamara and Carter proceed to commit the crime near Jacob, but the massive mass murderer isn’t as dead as they believed.
A Bad Idea Gone Wrong (2017)
The film is about two criminals who break into a house and get trapped within. They then begin a love relationship while in a hostage situation with the house caretaker. The genre is mostly comedy, with some horror and home invasion aspects, but the sex scene stands out because it is so ridiculous.
Midsommar (2019)
Midsommar, directed by Ari Aster, is one of the most weird, humiliating, and mind-bending sex sequences in horror film history. A man goes through a sex routine with a woman (who earlier prepared him a pie with her pubic hair in it). The sex ritual also includes many other members of the community, including the woman’s family.
Honorable Mentions:
The Hunger (1983) Despite the film’s plenty of sex, the most remembered moment is when a female doctor named Sarah gets hot and heavy with a female ingenue named Miriam for some passionate girl-on-girl vampire sex.
Tetsuo: The Iron Guy (1989) In this Japanese cyberpunk/body horror film, a guy realizes that his penis has mutated into a massive power drill, which, unsurprisingly, is not a pleasant discovery for his lover.
Antichrist (2009) This film begins with an incredibly disturbing scene that alternates between unsimulated sex (with body doubles for the performers) and a little boy falling to his death. The film also involves disgusting sexual violence in its later parts. Antichrist isn’t for the faint of heart.
Reel Evil (2010) is a horror film with a sex scene captured on a camcorder. If you buy the DVD, the deleted sequences include a moment of full-frontal nudity.
Cabin in the Woods (2012) The outstanding sex scene features Chris Hemsworth and Anna Hutchinson having sex in the woods before being assaulted by zombies.
