Who is Arra San Agustin
Arra San Agustin is a Filipino actress, host, model, and singer who wears many hats—and looks good in all of them. She first caught the public’s attention as one of the Top 6 finalists on the sixth season of StarStruck, GMA Network’s hit reality talent search. From there, her star only continued to rise.
For years, she brought the laughs as a regular on Bubble Gang, the longest-running sketch comedy show on Philippine TV, staying with the show until May 2022. But comedy wasn’t her only lane—by 2019, Arra had earned the title of “the newest gem of drama,” showing she could serve both punchlines and heartbreak with equal charm.
Her Early Life
Arra San Agustin was born on July 9, 1996, in Oriental Mindoro, and raised in Cavite and from the start, it was clear she had a flair for the spotlight. As a kid, she was the kind who lit up school plays and stole scenes at local talent shows—not by accident, but because performing was in her blood. That early passion for acting only grew stronger over time, eventually leading her to chase a career in showbiz. And it didn’t take long for people to notice—Arra’s talent spoke for itself, and the industry took note.
Career Journey
Arra San Agustin’s rise to fame started the way many great showbiz stories do—with a string of talent contests and a whole lot of determination. Her big break came when a talent scout spotted her at a local event, leading to a contract with a major agency and opening the door to a whole new world of opportunities in TV and film.
While chasing her dreams, Arra was also hitting the books. During her StarStruck journey in 2015, she was studying psychology at De La Salle University, and impressively graduated just a year later. Not long after, she began landing roles in well-loved GMA shows like Maynila, Magpakailanman, Karelasyon, Dear Uge, and Usapang Real Love Presents: Perfect Fit. By 2016, she’d joined the iconic cast of Bubble Gang, the network’s longest-running gag show, proving she could do comedy just as well as drama.
After a short role as Mia in Meant to Be, Arra scored one of her most memorable parts yet: Ariana, the reincarnation of Amihan, in the 2016 reboot of the fantasy hit Encantadia.
She kept the momentum going in 2018 as Anna Lazaro in the sci-fi action series The Cure, where she starred opposite Ken Chan. The duo reunited soon after in My Special Tatay, with Arra playing Carol Flores, the childhood best friend turned love interest. Their on-screen chemistry? Unmissable.
These days, Arra is also feeding fans’ appetites—literally. She hosts Taste MNL, a GMA digital exclusive where she takes viewers on food trips to the trendiest, most buzzed-about restaurants in Metro Manila.
In late 2023, she took on a grittier role as Joan Uy in the action-thriller series Black Rider, alongside Matteo Guidicelli. And in 2024, she continued her streak with Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law, playing the character Esther Valencia. From fantasy worlds to food adventures and legal dramas, Arra’s career shows no signs of slowing down.
