The Controversial Hotness Of Olivia Jade Giannulli

Now, here’s a super hot woman who has been in a high-profile controversy.  But that’s not the reason why we feature her here. Really.  You know us.  We don’t care about any of that (as long she didn’t kill someone)…  If she’s gorgeous, then she will be here.  Yup, and that is the reason why this social media influencer is our feature.  Ladies and gents, Olivia Jade Giannulli deserves to be here…

And with that first photo, we know you’d all agree.

Who is Olivia Jade Giannulli

Olivia Jade Giannulli is an American YouTuber and the daughter of fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli and actress Lori Loughlin.  She started building her online presence back in high school, diving into YouTube and Instagram before it became everybody’s after-school hobby.

She rose to fame as a lifestyle creator with a signature mix of beauty, skincare, and wellness content — basically the “morning routine” queen of early Gen Z YouTube.  Her polished aesthetic, endless “get ready with me” videos, and very relatable product hauls helped her carve out a loyal audience of beauty-curious viewers.

As her channel grew, Olivia teamed up with major beauty brands like Sephora, Milk Makeup, and Summer Fridays.  Instead of making her partnerships feel like commercials, she wove them naturally into her everyday vlogs — the kind where you feel like you’re just hanging out in her bathroom while she chats through her skincare.

After a very public hiatus, she returned to social media with a refreshed vibe focused on wellness, home decor, and emotional growth.  Her newer videos lean into calming routines, cooking, and self-care — still intimate and direct-to-camera, but with a more grounded, grown-up tone.

Her audience remains devoted thanks to her consistent posting across YouTube and TikTok, plus her willingness to share personal updates and reflections.  And despite past controversies, she’s rebuilt a brand-safe reputation by keeping things lifestyle-focused and steering clear of political drama.

Today, Olivia Jade is recognized as a go-to wellness and style creator for young women who want beauty tips and balanced living — all delivered with her signature aesthetic and camera-ready charm.

Her Early Life

Olivia Jade was born on September 28, 1999, to actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli — meaning she entered the world with great hair, great cheekbones, and a guaranteed spot in the family holiday card.  She has an older sister, Isabella, and an older half-brother, Gianni.

In 2017, Olivia had a moment that her followers will never let her forget: she crashed her car while filming herself singing Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.”  The internet immediately responded with a collective, “Girl… eyes on the road.”

She attended John Thomas Dye School from kindergarten through sixth grade, then went to Marlborough School before transferring after ninth grade.  She graduated from Marymount High School in Los Angeles in 2018 and went on to enroll at the University of Southern California.

Career Journey

In 2014, Olivia launched her lifestyle YouTube channel, and not long after, her Instagram account.  Both took off quickly, eventually passing the one-million mark and becoming fully monetized through brand deals with companies like Amazon, Sephora, and plenty of other “add to cart” enablers.

In 2016, she made a playful TV appearance on the game show Tap That Awesome App, competing for a $5,000 charity prize — proving she could handle a camera and a buzzer.

By 2018, Olivia was ready to build her brand and filed trademarks for “Olivia Jade” and “Olivia Jade Beauty.”  The applications were initially held up by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for reasons that can only be described as…  punctuation drama.  Everything was eventually sorted out, and the trademark was approved in April 2019.

Fast-forward to September 2021, when Olivia joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars season 30.  She paired up with pro dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy and made it to 8th place — a respectable finish for someone whose usual choreography involves walking around her room with a skincare bottle.

Controversies

In 2018, according to a U.S. government indictment, Olivia posed for a photo on a rowing machine — a picture that was later included in her application to the University of Southern California (USC) to suggest she was a competitive rower.  She wasn’t, and reportedly had zero plans to become one.  At the same time, prosecutors allege that her parents paid $500,000 in bribes to a USC coach to have both Olivia and her sister Isabella listed as athletic recruits, helping them secure admission.

The federal complaint also claimed that Olivia was confused about how to complete her USC application and that an employee working with the scheme’s ringleader ended up filling it out for her.  Teen Vogue noted that it remains unclear whether Olivia knew about any of this behind-the-scenes activity.

Before classes even started, Olivia sparked backlash when she posted a YouTube video casually admitting that while she was going to USC, she was mostly excited for game days and parties and “didn’t really care about school.”  The timing wasn’t great — especially since, according to Newsweek, she had been giving her followers college-application advice just days before her parents were arrested.

When the scandal broke on March 13, 2019, media outlets reported that Olivia happened to be in the Bahamas on a $100 million yacht owned by Rick Caruso, a USC Board of Trustees chairman.  She’s friends with his daughter Gianna, which explains the vacation — though the headlines practically wrote themselves.

Olivia later appeared in Netflix’s documentary Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal, which reenacted recordings and conversations tied to Rick Singer’s admissions scheme, including exchanges involving her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli.  A messy chapter, to say the least — and one that followed her far beyond the rowing machine.

Two days after the college admissions scandal hit the news, Sephora announced on March 14, 2019, that it was ending its makeup partnership with Olivia. TRESemmé quickly followed, cutting ties as well.  Some outlets reported that Olivia had dropped out of USC out of fear of being “viciously bullied,” but the university later clarified that she was still enrolled at the time.

As the story unfolded, Olivia became a major target for public shaming, cyberbullying, and nonstop commentary across social and traditional media.  Her social platforms were flooded with criticism until she eventually turned off Instagram comments altogether.  Slate writer Heather Schwedel noted that Olivia “checked all the right boxes for ridicule,” and even John Oliver joked that while death threats were absolutely unacceptable, a brief period of roasting was basically inevitable.

On December 2, 2019, Olivia finally returned to YouTube with a video titled “Hi Again.”  She didn’t address the scandal directly, explaining that she was “legally barred” from saying anything, which is probably the least YouTuber-friendly sentence ever spoken on the platform.

Back at USC, the university scheduled a March 2019 hearing to determine whether she should be labeled a “disruptive individual,” a designation that could have resulted in a lifetime ban from campus.

By October 2019, the USC Registrar confirmed that Olivia and her sister were no longer enrolled.  Due to student privacy laws, the school didn’t say whether they withdrew or were expelled — and that detail remains officially unspoken.
