Dani Dyer has that effortlessly pretty, girl-next-door charm that feels instantly familiar—and yes, she carries herself with the kind of confidence that turns heads without trying too hard. Add in her relaxed, summery vibe and that unmistakably cute way of talking, and it’s easy to see why people warm to her so quickly.
So, introductions out of the way—let’s get to know this much-loved TV favourite a little better. So let’s go and get it on, folks!
Who is Dani Dyer
Dani Dyer is an English TV personality, actress, and author who shot to fame after winning Love Island in 2018—and promptly became the nation’s sweetheart. She’s also spent plenty of screen time alongside her famous dad, actor Danny Dyer, in shows like Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy, proving that talent (and strong opinions) definitely run in the family.
Known for her down-to-earth personality and refreshingly relatable outlook, Dani has since embraced motherhood—she’s a mum of three—while still keeping busy on TV. Recent projects include taking on the tough SAS: Who Dares Wins challenge, starring in documentaries, and co-hosting the podcast Live and Let Dyers. From reality TV winner to multitasking mum and media favourite, Dani’s doing it all without losing her sense of humour.
Her Early Life
Dani Dyer was born on 8 August 1996, in the London Borough of Newham to Joanne Mas and actor Danny Dyer. She grew up with a younger sister and brother and attended Roding Valley High School in Loughton, Essex—very much a normal upbringing before the spotlight found her.
Before TV fame came calling, Dani worked as a barmaid, serving drinks and dealing with the public long before dealing with reality TV drama. Consider it excellent training for what was to come.
Career Journey
Dani Dyer’s screen career started early—very early. She made her debut as an extra in the 2006 film The Other Half alongside her dad, Danny Dyer, and went on to pop up in several more of his films, including Doghouse (2009), Run for Your Wife (2012), and Vendetta (2013). In fact, the producer of Vendetta said she “absolutely blew away” the crew—not bad for someone still finding her feet.
From there, Dani stepped out on her own, appearing in films like We Still Kill the Old Way (2014), Age of Kill (2015), and Bonded by Blood 2 (2017). In 2018, she was announced as a contestant on ITV2’s Survival of the Fittest, but her time on the show was cut painfully short after she dislocated her shoulder on day two. Ouch.
That same year, she entered the Love Island villa—and this time, things went much better. Dani won the fourth series alongside Jack Fincham, taking a whopping 79.66% of the final vote and becoming one of the show’s most popular winners. After the villa, the pair starred in the ITVBe reality series Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island, giving viewers a peek at life beyond the sun loungers.
In 2019, Dani began appearing as a guest reporter on The One Show, and in 2020 she launched her own lip product range with Vaseline. She also teamed up with her dad again to co-host the podcast Sorted with the Dyers. In June 2021, she ticked off another career box with a guest appearance on EastEnders, playing a taxi driver named Jeanette—sharing the screen with her father, who played longtime character Mick Carter.
In 2025, Dani signed up for Strictly Come Dancing and was paired with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin. Sadly, her Strictly journey ended before it really began after she fractured her ankle during rehearsals, forcing her to withdraw ahead of the first live show. She did, however, still appear in the launch show dance—proof that even injuries can’t keep her off the dance floor for long.
Facts and Trivia
Dani Dyer’s love life has had its fair share of twists. Before Love Island, she was in a relationship with Sammy Kimmence. During the 2018 series, she famously coupled up with Jack Fincham, and the pair went on to win the show—though the romance ended later that year. Dani then briefly rekindled things with Kimmence, and on 23 January 2021, she welcomed her first child, a son. The relationship later ended following Kimmence’s conviction and prison sentence for fraud—an undeniably difficult chapter that Dani firmly closed.
A fresh start arrived soon after. On 27 December 2021, Dani confirmed she was dating West Ham United footballer Jarrod Bowen during an appearance on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan. The couple quickly became a fan favourite, welcoming twin daughters on 22 May 2023. In July 2024, they announced their engagement, and on 30 May 2025, Dani and Jarrod officially tied the knot—rounding off a journey that’s landed firmly in the happy-ever-after column.
