Blackfire Actress Damara Lewis Is Just Sizzling Hot

Blackfire is just so hot.  But you know who’s hotter?  The actress playing her.  Yup, Damara Lewis has got a beauty that could stop crime.  Oh, you would totally stop in your tracks when you see her sporting a swimsuit.

A woman as gorgeous as this one is what you need to forget your troubles.  Seriously.  Damara Lewis’ beauty can save you from having a shitty day.  She could brighten up that mood of yours, and that already makes her a superhero.

Who is Damara Lewis

Damaris Lewis is one of those rare talents who’s managed to own both the runway and the screen—no costume change required (well…  sometimes a superhero one).

Damaris Lewis

She first made her mark in modeling, appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2009 to 2011—basically announcing, “Hi, yes, I belong here.”  Then she pivoted into acting and took on a very different kind of role as Blackfire in Titans (2019–2021), bringing a little intergalactic attitude to the DC universe.

From beach shoots to supervillains, she’s proven range isn’t just a buzzword—it’s kind of her thing.

Her Early Life

Damaris Lewis was born on October 10, 1990, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, with roots tracing back to St. Kitts through her West Indian parents.  So yes—style, rhythm, and presence were pretty much built in from the start.

She attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she focused on dance in a conservatory-style program—basically training like a professional before most people figure out their locker combination.

Her big break came while performing with her childhood dance company, Restoration Dance Theater, at Chelsea Piers, where she was discovered mid-performance (casual).  Even then, she didn’t rush it—waiting until her second year of high school to sign with Elite Model Management.  Early opportunity, smart timing, and just enough patience to make the glow-up count.

Career Journey

Damaris Lewis has built a career that refuses to stay in one lane—and honestly, why would it?

On the modeling side, she’s fronted campaigns for major beauty brands like Black/Up, Clarins, MAC Cosmetics, L’Oréal, and Yves Saint Laurent.  Her editorial résumé is just as stacked, with appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit (2009–2011), Essence, Marie Claire, Self, Cosmopolitan, and GQ.  In other words, if it’s glossy and iconic, she’s probably been in it.

She also caught the attention of Nick Jonas and Modelinia, landing a feature-style video interview that introduced her to an even wider audience—because apparently just being everywhere in print wasn’t enough.

Then came acting.   She made a quick appearance in Limitless, sharing a club scene with Bradley Cooper, and later worked with Spike Lee in BlacKkKlansman. Casual résumé additions.

She’s also dipped into hosting, including a special for The Africa Channel during Prince’s legendary Welcome 2 America run, and became a familiar face in the sports world—starring in the 2013 NBA All-Star promo, co-hosting NBA Style for TNT and NBA TV, and even teaming up with ESPN for the City Slam Dunk Competition.

And just to round it all out, she stepped fully into scripted TV—appearing on Pose before landing the role of Blackfire on Titans, where she was later upgraded to series regular.  From fashion spreads to superhero storylines, she’s made versatility look very effortless.

Facts and Trivia

Damaris Lewis didn’t just step into the music world—she got personally recruited by Prince, which is about as high a co-sign as it gets.  She joined him as a dancer on his Welcome 2 Australia tour in 2012 with The New Power Generation, and from there, it turned into a full run: touring Chicago, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and even serving as his muse during his SXSW 2013 closing show (no pressure, right?).

That same year, she took things international, performing with Prince’s band at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland—because if you’re going to tour, you might as well do it globally.  She continued working with him up until his passing in 2016, building a creative partnership that was equal parts performance, artistry, and undeniable stage presence.

Offstage, she’s been just as committed to giving back.  Since 2009, she’s volunteered with organizations like Project Sunshine, The Garden of Dreams Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  And starting in 2014, she took on a three-year run as chairwoman of The Garden of Dreams Foundation’s annual prom—helping create unforgettable prom experiences for kids in the New York tri-state area who might not otherwise get one.

So yes, she can headline a stage with Prince and organize a life-changing range, but make it meaningful.

Her Body Measurements

Damara stands 5 feet, 10 inches, and she totally rocks a 34C-26-34 figure.
