Kamie Crawford is just so hot in so many ways. And she is a chameleon; she can be plus-sized, she can be more on the curvy side, and I really do think she can be whatever she wants to be and still be that hot. Oh, and she is, by the way, a strong advocate of body positivity.
And with all that being stated, she earned a spot on our beloved website. Yup, she definitely needs to be here. I mean, really…
Who is Kamie Crawford
Kamie Crawford has built a career that covers just about every corner of entertainment—and makes it look easy. She first stepped into the spotlight after being crowned Miss Teen USA in 2010, then went on to graduate from Fordham University, because apparently pageants and academics can coexist just fine.
Most people know her as the co-host of MTV’s Catfish: The TV Show (2020–2024), where she brought equal parts honesty, humor, and “we need to talk” energy. She’s also popped up across reality TV, hosting Are You the One? and Ex on the Beach, proving she’s very comfortable navigating messy situations—professionally, of course.
Outside of TV, she’s modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and hosts her own podcast, Relationsht*, where she dives into dating, relationships, and all the chaos in between. Add in her advocacy for body positivity and diversity, and you’ve got someone who’s not just in the spotlight—she’s actually using it for something.
Her Early Life
Kamie Crawford was born on October 25, 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to Maryland after first grade. She grew up in Potomac and graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 2010, where she was captain of the varsity cheerleading team—so yes, leading from the front has kind of always been her thing.
Before her Miss Teen USA win, she was already leaning toward a very different path, getting selected for the medical program at the Congressional Student Leadership Conference at Georgetown University. For a while, the plan was dermatology—lab coat, not camera-ready lighting.
After winning her title, she explored the entertainment side a bit more, taking classes at the New York Film Academy while knocking out core college courses. She started at the University of Alabama on a pre-med track (again, very committed to the science era), but eventually realized her interests were shifting.
She transferred to Fordham University, where she graduated in 2015 with a degree in communications, focusing on television and digital media. And while still in school, she began working in hosting and TV around the tri-state area—because once the camera found her, it wasn’t letting go.
Career Journey
Kamie Crawford didn’t exactly spend years climbing the pageant ladder—she showed up and won. After just five months of prep (and a little encouragement from a friend who clearly saw the vision), she entered her very first competition and took the Miss Maryland Teen USA 2010 title. She even picked up Miss Photogenic along the way, because why not collect a bonus award?
A few months later, in July 2010, she represented Maryland at Miss Teen USA—and made history as the first contestant from her state to win the national title. Not a bad debut season.
From there, she expanded into modeling, signing with JAG Models in 2013 and later stepping into the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit spotlight. By 2022, she was named a Swimsuit Rookie alongside names like Kim Kardashian and Ciara, and she’s been a regular ever since—including the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue in 2024. She also walked the Miami Swim Week runway in 2023 and 2024 alongside fellow standouts like Alix Earle, Brooks Nader, and Lauren Chan.
On the TV side, she first joined Catfish in 2018 as part of a rotating guest host lineup—sharing the screen with names like Elle King and Nick Young—before becoming the show’s full-time co-host in 2019. After six seasons of navigating online drama with a steady mix of empathy and side-eye, she announced her departure in 2024.
She didn’t slow down, though. She went on to host the reunion for Issa Rae’s Sweet Life: Los Angeles, signed an overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios, and took on hosting roles for Are You the One? and Ex on the Beach.
In 2021, she added podcast host to the list with Relationsht*, a show that dives into dating, relationships, and all the chaos in between. It’s been recognized by The Today Show as one of the best podcasts for women—because sometimes you need advice that’s equal parts honest and entertaining.
By 2024, she was also featured in Los Angeles Magazine’s LA Woman issue, further cementing her status as someone who’s not just in the spotlight—but very comfortably running the show.
