Shalini Pandey Is Bollywood Hottie You Should Know

Shalini Pandey is the kind of beauty that could raise the room temperature without anyone touching the thermostat.  Some of her poses might leave you scrambling for a glass of water, but let’s not reduce her to good looks alone.  This Indian actress has talent to match her striking screen presence, making her someone worth paying attention to beyond the camera angles.  So, before you get too distracted, let’s take a closer look at Shalini Pandey and the career behind the charm.

Shalini Pandey

Who is Shalini Pandey

Shalini Pandey made her screen debut in the Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017), putting herself on the map early in her career.  She later appeared in the acclaimed Telugu biographical drama Mahanati (2018) and the thriller 118 (2019), as well as the Tamil romantic comedy 100% Kadhal (2019).  Her Hindi credits include Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022) and Maharaj (2024).  Clearly, she isn’t limiting herself to just one film industry—or one language.

Her Early Life

Born on September 23, 1993, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Shalini Pandey didn’t jump straight into the world of movies.  Before making her screen debut, she honed her acting skills as a theatre artist in her hometown.  So, while some aspiring stars dream of seeing their faces on the big screen, Shalini took the stage first—because even Bollywood dreams need a little rehearsal.

Career Journey

Shalini Pandey made her acting debut in the 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, playing Preethi, a medical student opposite Vijay Deverakonda.  The film became a major commercial success and earned her a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu. Critics also took notice, with Firstpost’s Hemanth Kumar praising her portrayal of Preethi’s vulnerability, which helped give the film’s intense romance its emotional punch.  Not a bad way to enter the industry.

In 2018, Pandey made her Hindi film debut with a cameo in Meri Nimmo.  She also appeared in the Telugu biographical drama Mahanati, which became a major box-office success.  Clearly, she was getting comfortable juggling different roles—and languages.

Shalini Pandey had a busy 2019, appearing in five films. She played Sowcar Janaki in NTR: Kathanayakudu before taking the lead opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in the Telugu thriller 118, which performed well commercially.  The Times of India’s Neeshita Nyayapati considered her performance adequate but had more praise for her chemistry with Ram.  Next came her Tamil debut, 100% Kadhal, in which she starred opposite G. V. Prakash Kumar.  Unfortunately, the film failed at the box office. She then appeared opposite Jiiva in Gorilla and finished the year with Iddari Lokam Okate, a Telugu romantic drama that delivered an average box-office performance.  Five films in one year? Her calendar clearly didn’t believe in taking it easy.

In 2020, Pandey starred in Bamfaad, a romantic action film about a Hindu girl who falls for a Muslim boy, played by Aditya Rawal.  She also appeared in the Telugu film Nishabdham, keeping her career moving across industries.

In 2022, she played a Gujarati housewife opposite Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, a comedy tackling the serious issue of female infanticide.  Despite its important subject matter and star power, the film flopped at the box office.  After a two-year break, Pandey returned in 2024 with a brief role opposite Junaid Khan in Maharaj, which premiered directly on Netflix.

In 2025, she joined the cast of Netflix’s Dabba Cartel, a crime drama about a group of women who run a drug cartel under the cover of a food delivery business.  Because apparently, delivering lunch can get complicated when your side hustle involves organized crime.

Facts and Trivia

Shalini Pandey made quite an impression early in her career, landing on The Indian Express and 123telugu’s “Top Actresses” lists in 2017.  That same year, she ranked 19th on the Hyderabad Times Most Desirable Women list. Not a bad start for someone still making her way through the industry.

Interestingly, Pandey holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Global Engineering College in Jabalpur.  Her nickname is Shalzp, and she has a tattoo on her ankle.  Her career choice wasn’t always an easy sell at home, either.  Her father initially preferred that she take a conventional desk job at a company rather than pursue acting.  Thankfully, the two eventually reconciled—because apparently, even the most dramatic career plot twists can have a happy ending.

Her Body Measurements

Shalini stands 5 feet, 5 inches, and she rocks a 33-26-33 figure.
