Ladies and gents, she doesn’t need a lot of introduction as an awful lot of you are familiar with her. Okay, maybe not her name or info but you have come across at least a couple of her photos before. And you wondered who she was. Well, we are featuring her now… Ms. Daniela Pestova.
Who is Daniela Peštová?
Daniela is a Czech fashion model best known for her appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and as a Victoria’s Secret lingerie model. She appeared on the covers of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions in 1995, 2000, and 2006, as well as in the Swimsuit editions on a regular basis for over a decade.
Daniela Pestova was dubbed “The Chameleon” because of her ability to change her (hot, hot) looks on the fly. Aside from modeling, she also had lucrative endorsement deals with L’Oreal and Victoria’s Secret.
Her Early Life
Daniela Petová was born in Teplice, Czechoslovakia, on October 14, 1970. Dominique Caffin of Madison Modeling Agency discovered her at the age of 19 in a Prague theater. She intended to attend college after finishing high school, but after winning a modeling contest, she relocated to Paris to sign with Madison Modeling Agency. She relocated to New York, and her career took off from there.
Career Journey
Daniela initially planned to attend college to become a teacher, but after being discovered by Madison Modeling Agency, she relocated to Paris to pursue modeling full-time. She became Victoria’s Secret Angel in 1998 and appeared in three Victoria’s Secret Fashion shows between 1998 and 2001. Daniela has also graced the covers of notable body-centric magazines such as “GQ,” “Marie Claire,” Cosmopolitan,” “Glamour,” “Shape,” “Fitness,” and “Bikini.” She signed with L’Oreal in 1994 to be their print model and spokesperson, and Victoria’s Secret in 1997.
Facts and Trivia
Daniela Peštová married Tommaso Buti (former CEO of Fashion Café) in 1995, but they were divorced in 1998. The couple had a son, Yannick Fausto. She has a daughter, Ella Joy, and a son, Paul Henry with her present partner, Slovak singer Pavol Habera, frontman of Slovak band TEAM.
Daniela speaks Russian, English, French, and Italian fluently, as well as her native Czech.
