Her body is truly a marvel. It’s like she was photoshopped in the heavens before being sent to Earth. She’s too beautiful, too sexy for us mere mortals. And we’re very lucky. And you are very lucky because here she is! Now, read on and get to know this goddess better.
Who is Alice Panikian?
Alice is a Canadian beauty queen and fashion model. After winning the 2006 Miss Universe Canada beauty contest, she proceeded to the top ten of the 2006 Miss Universe pageant. At six feet, she became the highest national beauty pageant winner in Canadian history.
Alice is a non-toxic beauty queen, women’s health advocate, and the founder of The Bronde, a lifestyle and wellness website. An endometriosis diagnosis prompted her to thoroughly scrutinize what she was wearing as well as her anatomy. She was surprised to learn that several of her favorite goods had chemicals and pollutants that might upset hormones and cause disease. She has made it her mission to educate others and raise awareness about the dangerous chemicals and toxic compounds commonly found in the cosmetic business.
Her Early Life
Alice Panikian was born on May 23, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has Bulgarian and Armenian ancestry, which comes from her paternal grandpa and accounts for her Armenian surname. She moved to Canada with her parents when she was five years old. Alice attended York University and majored in English and Communication. She studied broadcast journalism and lives in Toronto, Ontario. She wanted to be a journalist or a TV program host.
Career Journey
Alice Panikian began modeling in her teens and has always aspired to compete in the Miss Universe competition. She credits the competition with helping her realize how alive and energetic she felt on stage. After winning Miss Canada in 2006 and representing Canada in the Miss Universe competition, Alice relocated to New York City to pursue her modeling career.
Health Advocacy
Alice’s path took a turn when she was diagnosed with endometriosis, a reproductive illness that affects around one in every ten women in their late twenties. Many women with endometriosis endure varied degrees of abdominal and pelvic discomfort, gastrointestinal disorders, fatigue and aching joints, and neurological issues such as headaches and depression, to mention a few symptoms. Endometriosis is typically treated with pain medication, hormone therapy, laparoscopic surgery, and, in extreme situations, hysterectomy.
To empower herself with knowledge, Alice embarked on years of thorough research into how chemicals in our environment, diet, and personal care products contribute to the growth of endometriosis and other illnesses. As a model and lifelong makeup enthusiast, she was taken aback when she discovered that several of her makeup and beauty products contained chemicals and pollutants that function as hormone disruptors and are associated with a variety of disorders. She was angry because she had inadvertently exposed herself to hazardous, poisonous substances on a daily basis, many of which she feels may have contributed to the progression of her endometriosis.
Armed with her newfound information, she proceeded to make significant dietary and lifestyle adjustments to manage her endometriosis. She became her own superhero and health advocate. Alice began sharing and documenting her non-toxic beauty and wellness journey on Instagram. She was so inspired by the enormous positive response that she began her blog, The Bronde, to share useful suggestions on how to live a healthy lifestyle, propose the best clean products, and explain the intricate and often opaque non-toxic beauty market. Alice has become a prominent advocate for non-toxic beauty and openness in the beauty business.
