Now, before we start, we’d just like to let you know that these photos are extremely distracting and you should really read this one when you get home.

Who is Mika Salamanca

Mika Salamanca wears many hats—actress, singer, and social media star—but it was YouTube that first put her on the map.  With song covers and lifestyle vlogs, she quickly built a following that couldn’t get enough of her mix of charm and talent.  From there, she dipped her toes into acting, landing minor roles on GMA Network, where she’s now officially part of Sparkle, the network’s talent agency.

And because she clearly loves to keep life interesting, in 2025, Mika added another title to her list: Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate.  Yep, she swapped ring lights for house cameras—because why not let the whole country watch you 24/7?

Her Early Life

Anne Michaella Salonga Salamanca, better known as Mika Salamanca, was born on October 26, 2000.  She grew up with her mother, a homemaker, and her father, a businessman, before pursuing her studies both in the Philippines and abroad.  After completing her early education in her hometown and later attending St. Scholastica’s College in Manila, Mika moved to the United States, where she graduated from high school in Alabama in 2019.

Career Journey

Mika Salamanca first found her spotlight on YouTube, where her vlogs, lifestyle clips, and song covers made her instantly relatable—and instantly watchable.  By 2023, she was stepping into the world of television with supporting roles, playing Sarah in Maging Sino Ka Man and Megan in Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis, plus a fun guest spot on the comedy classic Bubble Gang.

Then came 2025, when Mika leveled things up by joining Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.  Not only did she survive the 24/7 cameras—she actually went on to win the whole thing, alongside Brent Manalo (talk about turning house rules into career moves).  She later popped up on the game show Rainbow Rumble, proving she’s game for just about anything the spotlight throws her way.

Facts and Trivia

In 2025, Mika Salamanca showed that her victory on Pinoy Big Brother was about more than just winning a title.  She donated her entire ₱1,000,000 cash prize (around US$17,450) to Duyan ni Maria, a Pampanga-based non-profit dedicated to giving underprivileged children access to education and support.  For Mika, it was a deeply personal choice—she spoke about her strong belief in the life-changing power of education and her desire to help give children the future they deserve.

That same year, her compassion extended even further. When Severe Tropical Storm Crising and the southwest monsoon devastated communities, Mika not only launched a donation drive but also personally volunteered at soup kitchens through the Angat Bayanihan Volunteer Network of the Angat Buhay Foundation. She also reached out to vulnerable animals, supporting the Animal Kingdom Foundation’s “Barkyanihan Project” for pets affected by natural disasters.

Even her platform as a content creator became a tool for giving back—she pledged 60% of the revenue from her YouTube video with Brent Manalo, 1 Shot, 1 Cringe, to charity.  In every way, Mika turned her influence into action, using her success to uplift both people and animals in need.

Controversies

Back in July 2020, Mika Salamanca made headlines in Hawaii for all the wrong reasons.  After arriving on July 6, she was spotted out dining and socializing instead of sticking to the state’s strict self-quarantine rules.  The result?  An arrest, a wave of criticism, and a lesson learned the hard way.

Mika later released a video to apologize and clear the air, owning up to the mistake.  Not exactly her proudest moment—but hey, at least it gave her fans one more reason to remember that she’s human, too.

In early 2025, Mika Salamanca made headlines again—though this time, it wasn’t for a viral vlog or a reality show win.  Alongside business partner Paul Jefferson Vivas, she rolled out Flare, a vape brand under Apex Pacific Corp., where Mika was COO and Vivas served as president.

Things looked promising…  until customers started speaking up.  Some, like Anthony Garcia (who shelled out ₱366,000) and Angelica Ambos (₱106,000), claimed they never got their orders—or their money back. The bigger shocker?  Apex apparently didn’t even have the proper PS License or FDA certification, making the products technically illegal to sell.

Enter Senator Raffy Tulfo, who jumped in with an investigation, confirming the missing permits and raising eyebrows about possible government ties.  What began as a trendy new business ended up as a full-blown cautionary tale—proof that in business, receipts (and permits) matter just as much as the hype.
