She will totally be a favorite of yours, and if you are unfamiliar with her, you will be an instant fan.  And no, that is not an exaggeration.  Just wait until you get to the gallery, my friend.

Who is Disha Patani

Disha Patani is an Indian actress and model who’s built a reputation for mixing glamour, action, and serious fitness goals—basically, she makes it all look a little too easy.

She kicked off her acting career with the Telugu film Loafer in 2015, before making her Hindi film breakthrough with M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.  From there, she kept the momentum going with a mix of action-packed and high-profile projects, including Kung Fu Yoga, Baaghi 2, Malang, and later big-scale releases like Kalki 2898 AD and Kanguva.

Alongside her film work, she’s become a major presence online, with a huge social media following and a reputation as a fitness enthusiast—think intense workouts, effortless style, and the kind of discipline that makes the rest of us reconsider skipping the gym.

She’s also a sought-after brand endorser and even landed on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list in 2019, proving her influence goes well beyond the big screen.

Her Early Life

Disha Patani was born on June 13, 1992, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and comes from a Hindu Kumaoni Rajput family.  Discipline clearly runs in the household—her father, Jagadish Singh Patani, is a police officer, while her mother works as a health inspector.  Her older sister, Khushboo Patani, served as a Major in the Indian Army and later became a fitness coach and entrepreneur.  She also has a younger brother, Suryansh—so yes, it’s a pretty accomplished family all around.

Before the lights and cameras, she was actually on track for a very different path.  She studied engineering at Amity University Lucknow, but left in her second year—because clearly, she had other plans (and probably better lighting).  Around that time, she also dipped into pageantry, finishing as the first runner-up at the 2013 Pond’s Femina Miss India Indore competition.

From engineering student to pageant finalist to film star—not exactly a straight line, but definitely an interesting one.

Career Journey

Disha Patani made her acting debut in the Telugu film Loafer (2015), starring opposite Varun Tej.  It was a solid start—but her real breakthrough came soon after.

She found major recognition with M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, directed by Neeraj Pandey.  The film, based on cricket legend MS Dhoni, became a big success and gave her the kind of visibility every newcomer hopes for.  From there, she continued to land roles in high-profile projects, including a brief appearance in Bharat.

In 2021, she reunited with Salman Khan in Radhe, directed by Prabhu Deva.  The film faced delays due to the pandemic and was eventually released on streaming platforms during Eid.  It drew strong viewership—though critics weren’t exactly impressed.  Sometimes the audience shows up anyway.

She followed that with Ek Villain Returns, a psychological thriller alongside John Abraham.  The film didn’t quite hit the mark commercially, and her role received mixed reactions—one of those projects where expectations and results didn’t quite align.

In 2024, she appeared in Yodha, playing a character with a double life (never a simple job description), opposite Sidharth Malhotra.  The film had its own delays before finally making it to release.

After a quiet 2025 in terms of releases, she made a brief appearance in O’Romeo alongside Shahid Kapoor—a role that came and went quickly.  Up next, she’s set to star in Awarapan 2 with Emraan Hashmi, scheduled for release in 2026.

Overall, her career has been a mix of big hits, experimental roles, and a few bumps along the way—which, to be fair, is pretty standard in the film industry.

Facts and Trivia

Disha Patani has built a strong presence in the industry—but her film roles have often sparked debate.  Critics have pointed out that many of her characters tend to be underwritten, with limited screen time and more focus on style than substance.  While she’s widely praised for her fitness, dance skills, and undeniable screen presence, she’s sometimes been labeled more of a scene-stealer than a story-driver.  That said, she’s clearly aware of the narrative—and still very much in the game.

Off-screen, though, her popularity is anything but “limited.”  She ranked among the most searched celebrities on Google in 2016 and has since grown into a social media powerhouse, with tens of millions of followers on Instagram.  In 2019, she landed on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, coming in at No. 43 with a solid annual income—proof that visibility and influence go hand in hand.

She’s also been a regular on The Times of India’s “Most Desirable Women” list, climbing the ranks over the years and even taking the top spot in 2019.  Not a bad title to have on the résumé.

Brand-wise, she’s a favorite for endorsements, working with names like Bata and Fossil, among others.  She’s also no stranger to big stages—performing at events like the Indian Premier League opening ceremonies and joining international tours like “The Entertainers,” alongside major Bollywood names.

By 2024, she also made it onto IMDb’s list of the 100 most viewed Indian stars, landing at No. 21—another reminder that whether critics debate her roles or not, audiences are still watching.

In short: the roles may evolve, the critiques may continue, but her star power?  Very much intact.

Her Body Measurements

Disha stands 5 feet, 7 inches, and she rocks a 34B-25-34 athletic figure.
