Zara Larsson is an 18 year-old Swedish singer/songwriter currently stirring the music industry with the release of the music video for ‘Ain’t My Fault’ (scroll down for video), the lead single from her upcoming second studio album.
Produced by MNEK and Mike Spencer, the song is a club banger with a catchy hook that resembles something out of Rihanna’s discography. Originally recorded out of fun, the song talks about her seductive side of turning men on and saying that it’s not her fault, a clear departure of her recent feel good song ‘Lush Life’.
In the video, Zara is shown dancing in front of a mansion first, inviting everyone to come inside and join her. Now inside, she’s then shown wearing a silk night gown, previewing the perfect corners of her body as she seductively stares at the camera guaranteeing that this won’t be a typical sleep over. Zara then owned the room with her one-woman choreography. Sweeping and hugging the floor with the camera panning around in 360 degrees. The scene was sexy, enticing and artistic.
The video is now generating a lot of buzz due to its’ sexy content even if Zara Larsson is still 18. Arguments are made as to whether it’s necessary to have the video as it is, when Zara can compete fair-and-square through her singing. Discussions like these are usual for a pop video showing some skin, but from this corner though, we’re just here to watch.
Now where is that replay button?
Oh yeah… and she takes some great selfies (and other pics)
