And it’s another win for the Philippines. Yup, after the hot Pia Wurtzbach, the Miss Universe 2018 now is the half-Australian, half-Filipina Catriona Gray.

Who is Catriona Gray?
Catriona is a Filipina-Australian television host, singer, model, stage actress and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. She is the fourth Filipina to win the pageant.
Previously, she won both Miss Universe Philippines 2018 and Miss World Philippines 2016.
Her Early Life
Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray was born on January 6, 1994, in Cairns, Australia. She attended the Trinity Anglican School in Cairns (and later earned her Master’s Certificate in Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts). Catriona was also the lead singer of her school’s jazz band. She also starred in local productions of Miss Saigon. After finishing high school in Australia, she then moved to Manila, the Philippines where she worked as a commercial model.
Catriona also has a Certificate in Outdoor Recreation and a black belt in Choi Kwang-Do martial arts.
The road to Miss Universe
On January 8, 2018, Catriona submitted her application form at the Binibining Pilipinas office to officially join the 2018 national pageant. On January 16, 2018, her application was officially accepted. It was confirmed then that she will be competing at the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 pageant.
Facts and Trivia
In Philippine pageant history, Gray is the first Philippine national to represent the country in both the Miss World and Miss Universe competitions. Accordingly, she is the second Filipina to represent the Philippines in two major international pageants, the first entry being Carlene Aguilar in 2005.
Catriona has released the music video for the song “We’re in this Together” on November 25, 2018. Marcus Davis wrote the song and Young Focus International produced it. Catriona is working with Young Focus International (a non-government organization that focuses on giving underprivileged children and young people from the Philippines better access to education) from the beginning of her career. The organizations help the children and poor communities in Tondo, a district in Manila.
Catriona is famous to spontaneously burst into song… Which is most likely due to her love of the arts and music.
She loves Filipino dishes. From abodo to balut (a developing duck that you’d eat from the shell) to, according to her, “the sweetest mangoes in the world.”
Catriona made it to the top 5 in the Miss World 2016 pageant.
She is in a relationship with Filipino-German model Clint Bondad.
Catriona is an advocate. Yup, aside from being a volunteer teacher and working with Young Focus, she is also an HIV/AIDS awareness advocate at Love Yourself PH.

Catriona stands 5 feet, 10 inches and she rocks a 33.5-27-37 figure.
