YouTube Star Michelle Khare Is Fit As F*ck

Here’s another YouTube star who has more than earned her place on our beloved website.  Meet Michelle Khare, a woman who seems to have taken the whole “fitness goals” thing personally.  She’s fit, sun-kissed, and carries herself with the kind of confidence that could make traffic slow down for a second look.

She’s also exactly the sort of person you’d hope to encounter on a morning jog—or conveniently spot at the gym when you suddenly need help with absolutely anything.  Coincidence?  Probably.  Convenient?  Definitely.  So, let’s get to know Michelle Khare and the woman behind all that impressive energy.

Who is Michelle Khare

Michelle Khare has managed to turn “trying everything” into an actual career.  The American YouTuber, television host, stunt performer, actress, and former professional cyclist has built a résumé that makes choosing just one job look terribly overrated.

Michelle Khare

She’s best known as the co-creator and host of the YouTube reality documentary series Challenge Accepted, where she takes on demanding challenges that most sensible people would politely decline. She also hosted the children’s competition series Karma on HBO Max.  Between cycling, stunts, television, and YouTube, Khare has certainly made one thing clear: sitting still was never really part of the plan.

Her Early Life

Michelle Khare was born on August 10, 1992. She went on to attend Dartmouth College, where she designed her own major focused on digital media and technology—a fitting choice for someone whose career would eventually span YouTube, television, and plenty of physically demanding challenges.

While at Dartmouth, Khare gained hands-on experience through internships with major companies including Google, DreamWorks Animation, and Carousel Productions.  In other words, while most students were figuring out how to survive college, she was already collecting impressive names for her résumé.

Career Journey

Michelle Khare credits her younger sister with giving her the push to start a YouTube channel.  After graduating from Dartmouth in 2014, Khare landed a full-time content producer position at BuzzFeed. There was just one small problem: BuzzFeed placed strict restrictions on employees creating content on their personal channels because of potential conflicts of interest.  So, for a while, her own channel had to sit quietly on the sidelines.

Khare still kept busy. While working at BuzzFeed, she continued pursuing cycling and created content focused on health and wellness.  Eventually, however, she decided to leave professional cycling behind and put her energy into something considerably more unpredictable: Challenge Accepted, her YouTube reality-documentary series about taking on brutally difficult challenges.

And Khare wasn’t exactly choosing the easy ones.  Her challenges have included attempting the NFL Scouting Combine, training as a professional dancer for a month, and recreating one of Harry Houdini’s most dangerous tricks.  Because apparently “take it easy” isn’t really part of her vocabulary.

When she left BuzzFeed in 2016, Khare returned her full attention to YouTube.  Her channel reached two million subscribers by April 2020 and had grown to 4.18 million by October 2023, proving that the decision to bet on herself paid off rather nicely.

She also took her competitive spirit into the boxing ring.  In April 2023, Khare defeated fellow YouTuber Andrea Botez in a match at Creator Clash 2.  She later ventured into travel competition, appearing as a guest contestant on Seasons 8 and 15 of the YouTube and Nebula series Jet Lag: The Game in 2023 and 2025.

Khare has also worked in traditional television.  She hosted the children’s competition series Karma, which premiered on HBO Max on June 18, 2020.  Then, in December 2024, she stepped into the newsroom at CBS8 San Diego, where she appeared as an anchor, meteorologist, and field reporter in training.  From cycling and boxing to meteorology and Harry Houdini stunts, Khare’s résumé increasingly looks less like a career path and more like a dare she keeps accepting.

Facts and Trivia

While living in Los Angeles during her internships, Michelle Khare discovered road and mountain cycling as a recreational hobby.  Naturally, she didn’t exactly leave it at “hobby.”  She joined the Dartmouth Cycling Team and won the U.S. U23 Criterium Nationals in 2014 before joining the BMW Women’s Professional Team, where she trained and competed professionally during the 2014–2015 season.  Apparently, simply riding a bike around town wasn’t ambitious enough.

Khare was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to an Indian-American father, Vivek, and a mother of European descent, Laura.  She attended Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, where she competed in fencing and became the Arkansas-Louisiana-Mississippi Cadet Foil champion.

Her athletic résumé doesn’t end there.  Khare is also a black belt in taekwondo, because apparently one sport at a time would have been far too reasonable.  In October 2022, she married Garrett Kennell, adding another milestone to an already impressively active life.

Her Body Measurements

Michelle stands 5 feet 2 inches, and she rocks a 34-25-32 figure.
