Our Friday Feature Is The Super Gorgeous Martina Stoessel

Martina Stoessel, better known as Tini, is stepping into the Friday Feature spotlight, friends.  And yes, she brought the beauty, talent, and star power with her.  Because apparently, being ridiculously talented wasn’t enough—she had to look this good, too.

Martina Stoessel

So, consider this your official invitation to admire the Argentine superstar and get to know the woman behind the name.  Grab your attention span, settle in, and let’s get started. Oh, this is going to be one helluva treat for you!

Who is Martina Stoessel

Martina Stoessel, professionally known as Tini, is an Argentine singer and actress who has been entertaining audiences since childhood.  She began her career as a child actress on the Argentine children’s series Patito Feo in 2007.  Her major breakthrough came in 2012, when she landed the title role in Disney Channel Latin America’s Violetta.  The series became an international hit, turning Tini into a teen idol and giving her a fanbase that clearly wasn’t interested in keeping things local.

Her success continued through Violetta’s soundtracks, which performed strongly on charts across Latin America and Europe.  She also reprised the role in Tini: The Movie in 2016, giving fans one more chance to see her in the character that made her famous.

In 2015, Tini became the first Argentine artist to sign with Hollywood Records.  She also adopted “Tini” as her professional name before releasing her bilingual, self-titled debut studio album in 2016.  The album debuted at No. 1 in Argentina and reached the top 10 in several European countries.  Clearly, the girl who started on children’s television had figured out how to make a fairly dramatic entrance into the music charts.

After signing with Universal Music Latino, Tini explored Latin pop and reggae on her second studio album, Quiero Volver, released in 2018.  It became her second consecutive album to reach No. 1 in Argentina.  She then shifted her sound and image toward reggaeton with Tini Tini Tini in 2020, incorporating Latin trap influences along the way.  The album became the best-selling album by a woman in Argentina and earned double-diamond certification from CAPIF, making it the highest-certified female album in the country.

Music isn’t Tini’s only talent.  She has also lent her voice to the Spanish-language dubbed versions of the animated films Monsters University in 2013 and UglyDolls in 2019.  On television, she served as a judge and advisor on the Argentine version of The Voice in 2018 and the Spanish edition in 2020.  In 2025, she took on a leading role in the drama miniseries Breakdown, proving that apparently there was still another career lane left to conquer.

As one of Argentina’s best-selling music artists, Tini has become a major force both on the charts and on the road.  She ranks among the country’s highest-grossing touring acts and is the second-most-streamed Argentine female artist.

Her trophy cabinet is getting rather crowded, too. Tini has won five Gardel Awards, one Lo Nuestro Award, three Bravo Otto Awards, two Martín Fierro Awards, two Los 40 Music Awards, three MTV Millennial Awards, and two MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2016, The Hollywood Reporter named her one of its 25 Most Powerful Women in Global Television.

From 2018 to 2020, Billboard Argentina named Tini its “Artist of the Year,” while she was also the most-streamed Argentine woman on Spotify in each of those three consecutive years.  She became the first artist to sell out nine consecutive concerts at Estadio Luna Park and six consecutive shows at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo. Casual? Not exactly.

Her influence has extended beyond music, as well. In 2021, ¡Hola! included Tini on its list of Top 100 Latina Powerhouse Women, while from 2019 through 2022, she was repeatedly named among the ten most influential women in Argentina.  Then, in 2025, she landed on Madame Tussauds’ Hot 100 list, recognizing her as a Latin pop innovator.

From child star to Disney sensation, chart-topping singer, touring powerhouse, actress, voice performer, television judge, and international pop figure, Tini has built the kind of résumé that makes the phrase “multi-hyphenate” feel almost inadequate.  And she’s clearly not finished adding hyphens yet.

Her Early Life

Martina Stoessel was born on March 21, 1997, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Mariana Muzlera and Alejandro Stoessel, a television director and producer.  She has an older brother, Francisco, who is just one year ahead of her.  Apparently, the family came with a built-in older sibling and a future entertainment career.

Stoessel began training in the arts while she was still young, studying singing, piano, musical comedy, musical theater, and dance in Buenos Aires.  She later attended two private bilingual schools, Colegio San Marcos and Colegio Martín y Omar de San Isidro.  So while other kids were busy figuring out which school subject they disliked most, Stoessel was already collecting artistic skills.

Her first television role came in 2007, when she appeared in the first season of the popular Argentine children’s telenovela Patito Feo.  She played Martina, one of Fito Bernardi’s assistants, and also portrayed Anna in a flashback episode.  It was a small beginning, but it put her on the television map at a very young age.

In 2011, Stoessel recorded the Spanish-language version of Shannon Saunders’ song “The Glow,” titled “Tu Resplandor.”  The track was included on Disney Princess: Fairy Tale Songs, and she performed it at Disney Channel Latin America’s Celebratón on December 31, 2011.  The song was later released on an album connected to the series in March 2012—just in time for Stoessel’s career to enter a much bigger chapter.

Career Journey

Tini’s big break came almost by accident.  Her father, Alejandro Stoessel, had presented an unrelated project to Disney Channel producers when they mentioned that the network was holding auditions for the lead role in an upcoming series.  Tini auditioned, and after an intense casting process in late 2011, she landed the starring role in Violetta.  The tween-oriented musical series was produced as a collaboration between Disney Channel Latin America and Disney’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa divisions.  One meeting, one audition, and suddenly everything changed.

From July 2013 to March 2014, Tini and the Violetta cast took the show on the road with their first concert tour, Violetta en Vivo.  The tour traveled through Latin America and Europe in support of the series and its albums, eventually becoming one of the highest-grossing concert tours by a South American act.  In 2014, reported figures showed the tour had grossed more than US$17.5 million and sold over 1.7 million tickets across 50 reported shows out of 200 performances.  Apparently, fans were not content with simply watching her on television.

Tini later reprised her signature role in Tini: The Movie, also known as Tini: The New Life of Violetta, which reunited her with several Violetta cast members.  The 2016 film grossed more than US$17 million worldwide and opened at No. 4 at the Spanish box office. It eventually arrived on Netflix in February 2017 and later became available on Disney+ in the United States in February 2023.  Violetta, it seems, had quite the afterlife.

Meanwhile, Tini was preparing to move fully into music.  From January through early March 2016, she recorded her debut studio album in Los Angeles.  Tini (Martina Stoessel) was released worldwide on April 29, 2016, in both digital and physical formats.

Her second album began taking shape in 2017.  On October 13, Tini released “Te Quiero Más,” a collaboration with Venezuelan singer Nacho, as its lead single. Later that year, she appeared as herself on the Argentine telenovela Las Estrellas and joined MAX on the “Latin Mix” remix of his song “Lights Down Low.”

Then came “Princesa,” a duet with Colombian singer Karol G, released on April 6, 2018.  The song became Tini’s first single to reach No. 1 on Argentina’s national chart.  At this point, the former Disney star was making it pretty clear that her music career was no side project.

On September 24, 2020, Tini released “Duele,” featuring trap artist John C, as the seventh single from her third album.  The track peaked at No. 10 on the Argentina Hot 100, becoming her sixth top-10 hit on the chart.  That October, she also stepped into the world of television competition, serving as a key advisor on the Spanish edition of The Voice during its seventh season.

In early 2021, Tini signed with Sony Music Latin, opening another chapter in her increasingly international career.  On April 29, she released “Miénteme,” her collaboration with María Becerra, as the lead single from her fourth studio album.  The song debuted at No. 75 on the Argentina Hot 100, while the pair later teamed up again for “Bar.”  That track reached No. 1 and remained at the top for seven consecutive weeks, giving Tini her second—and longest-running—No. 1 hit in Argentina.

The collaborations kept coming. On February 17, 2022, she released “Fantasi,” featuring singer Beéle, as the fourth single from her fourth album.  The song peaked at No. 6 in Argentina.  Then, on January 12, 2023, she released “Muñecas,” featuring rapper La Joaqui and American DJ Steve Aoki.  The track reached No. 3 in Argentina and was also included on Aoki’s 2023 album Hiroquest 2: Double Helix.

Tini eventually returned to acting in a major way.  She starred opposite Jorge López and Martín Barba in the mystery-drama miniseries Breakdown, which premiered on Disney+ on August 15, 2025.  Her performance earned her a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Series at the 2025 Martín Fierro Awards.

Later that year, she reunited with María Becerra for “Hasta Que Me Enamoro,” their third collaboration.  The song reached No. 3 in Argentina, adding another chart success to an already rather crowded résumé.

Tini continued her musical momentum into 2026, releasing “Dos Amantes” with Argentine singer Ulises Bueno on March 19 as the seventh single from her album.  From Disney darling to international pop star, chart regular, touring powerhouse, actress, and award nominee, Tini has spent her career proving that one lane was never going to be enough.

Tini’s Advocacies

Tini has also used her fame to support charitable causes and advocate for issues close to her heart.  On August 10, 2013, she joined the cast of Violetta at UNICEF’s televised charity event Un sol para los chicos, performing “Ser Mejor” and “En Mi Mundo.”  Apparently, a hit Disney show wasn’t enough—she was also putting the spotlight to work for a good cause.

On November 17, 2016, Tini was named an honorary ambassador of world peace at the Red Voz por la Paz ceremony in Buenos Aires.  The honor was presented by fellow human rights activist Adolfo Pérez Esquivel and Guatemalan political activist Rigoberta Menchú.  Tini has continued using her public profile to promote positive change and support people and causes that matter to her.

She returned to Un sol para los chicos in both August 2018 and 2019, taking part in the solidarity campaign benefiting UNICEF.  Tini also became involved with UNICEF’s #GeneracionUnica initiative, which focuses on protecting the rights of every child. So, beyond the music, the acting, and the very busy celebrity schedule, she’s also found time to use her platform for something considerably more important than likes and headlines.

Facts and Trivia

Tini has been open about struggling with anxiety and panic attacks, describing how difficult it was for her to return to the stage.  She has also spoken about going to therapy and has said that she usually takes her therapist with her when she goes on tour.  Considering the pressure that comes with performing in front of thousands of people, having a trusted professional nearby hardly seems like a bad idea.

Away from the spotlight, Tini is a proud dog mom to six dogs, several of whom she adopted from a shelter.  So, between sold-out shows and international travel, she apparently also has a six-dog household waiting for her at home.

Tini’s dating history has included several high-profile names. In 2013, she began dating Argentine actor Peter Lanzani.  The couple split in April 2015 after two years together, reunited a month later, and ultimately ended their relationship again in December 2015.  Apparently, the relationship needed one more plot twist before the finale.

In September 2016, Tini announced that she was dating Spanish model Pepe Barroso Silva, who had appeared alongside her in the music video for “Great Escape.”  They announced their split in February 2018, only to reconcile in May.  By December 22, 2018, however, they had officially gone their separate ways.

On June 10, 2019, Tini confirmed that she was dating Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra, with whom she had also collaborated musically.  Their relationship ended in May 2020, with both confirming the split.

Tini later began a relationship with Argentine footballer Rodrigo De Paul in 2021.  The pair dated until 2023 before getting back together in 2025.  In 2026, their relationship reached another major milestone when they became engaged.  From music videos to football stadiums, Tini’s love life has certainly had enough material for its own miniseries.

Tini’s résumé extends well beyond music and acting.  In 2015, she became the face of L’Oréal’s Miss Manga mascara line in Latin America, followed by a campaign for clothing brand Cher in 2016.  The following year, she launched her own fashion line, Tini by Martina Stoessel.

In 2018, Tini partnered with designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada and launched two fragrances, Rebel Love and Wow Girl.  That same year, she was named a brand ambassador for Haval, Great Wall Motor’s automobile brand.  Since August 2018, she has also served as a Pantene ambassador in Argentina and Latin America—a partnership initially nicknamed “PanTini,” which is honestly difficult to resist.

Her commercial résumé continued to grow.  In November 2019, she became the face of Index, a clothing label by Ripley Peru.  In 2020, she represented jewelry brand Pandora across Latin America alongside then-boyfriend Sebastián Yatra.  That same year, in February, she was named an Adidas ambassador in Argentina.

In 2022, Tini joined Anitta and Becky G as a spokesperson for WhatsApp’s “Gender Equality in Music & Beyond” campaign.  She also partnered with Pull&Bear on two clothing collections: a party-themed range released in November 2022 and a summer collection launched in May 2023.

In June 2023, Tini became an ambassador for sunglasses brand Hawkers, followed by a collaborative collection in September.  Since July 2023, she has also served as one of Maybelline’s global ambassadors, adding yet another major beauty brand to her résumé.

Her brand partnerships continued into 2025 and 2026.  In 2025, Tini fronted El Corte Inglés’ spring-summer campaign alongside Quevedo and became the face of Mercado Libre in Argentina and Chile.  Later that year, she was announced as Under Armour’s new global ambassador.  In February 2026, she returned to Pandora as its ambassador across Latin America.  The following month, she became the face of Ripley in Chile and Peru.

At this point, Tini’s résumé includes music, acting, fashion, beauty, fragrances, jewelry, automobiles, sportswear, sunglasses, and retail.  If there’s a major industry left to conquer, it’s apparently waiting for her phone call.

Long before Disney helped launch her career, Tini was already inspired by performers who had followed a similar path.  She grew up admiring Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez—all former Disney Channel stars who successfully transitioned from television into music.  So, in a way, she had a pretty good blueprint in front of her.

As Tini developed her own career as a singer, her influences expanded.  According to Billboard, some of her biggest musical inspirations include Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and Shakira.  That’s quite the lineup—and certainly explains why her ambitions have always extended well beyond the Disney stage.
