For all the Game of Thrones fans, Daenerys Targaryen is one of the hottest women alive, but it’s also true even without her role in that famous series. Emilia Clarke was named the Sexiest Woman Alive last October 2015 by Esquire. During her interview with Ellen Degeneres, the British actress revealed her secret how she got through her sexy photoshoot.
The Mother of Dragons admitted that even though she’s an expert in nude scenes, she needs a little liquid courage to pose for photos. During her Esquire photoshoot, Clarke was intimidated with getting naked in front of a bunch of people. The one thing that helped her calmed down during the shoot was a little vodka.
“Doing those kinds of scene, like sex scenes on camera is one thing, but doing it as yourself, I need alcohol to do it,” Clarke explains. She also pointed to the Esquire magazine cover of her saying, “That’s me drunk. That’s me Photoshopped and drunk, that’s what I look like.”
But when Clarke comes as Khaleesi in Game of Thrones, we know we’ll get to see more of her in nude. Earlier this week, she attended the premiere of the shows season 6 where she declared, that she’d want to see more male nudity in the show.
“Damn straight, Khal Drogo hasn’t been around for a while, so yes.”
On the perceived double standard between male and female nudity, Clarke says to Conan O’Brien, “There’s plenty of female nudity, myself included and I think that there needs to be a discussion on… equal amounts of male and female nudity.”
