In 2016, Victoria’s Secret dazzled many of its fans by showcasing its ever stunning models in extravagant numbers. And while there are new faces to get excited about, there are still those long-time stunners who continuously surprise us with their hot vibes — one of which is Ming Xi, who has walked at Victoria’s Secret fashion show three times now.
However, despite her face featured on TVs and magazines and her body being fantasized about all over the internet, only a few things were known about her. So let’s give her the spotlight as we talk about this Asian goddess who set the stage on fire.
Who Is Ming Xi?
Born on March 8, 1990, in Shanghai, China, the 27-year-old model has worked with some of the world’s most-sought brands. This includes Givenchy, Vera Wang, and Michael Kors. Prior to entering the modeling world, she studied fashion and acting at Donghua University.
In 2009, she had her first TV appearance after joining ‘Go! Oriental Angels,’ a competition reality show in China. A few years later, she joined another contest ‘Elite Model Look,’ where she took third place. Since then, her popularity has grown, giving way to numerous contracts with various luxury brands.
Sneak Peak On Ming Xi’s Modeling Career
After taking third place in Elite Model Management’s contest ‘Elite Model Look’ she has slowly been achieving her dream to become a successful model. By 2010, Ming’s career took off as she started walking in runway shows for Givenchy Haute Spring Show as well as appearing in its F/W 2010 campaign.
Since then, the black-haired babe has caught the attention of the modeling world and was named a Victoria’s Secret Pink model. She has been one of four Chinese models to walk in the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, a first in the epic show’s history.
Creating a huge wave of success in the fashion world, Models.com, an influential industry guide, named her the “most promising” newcomer in the industry. She was also later named as a top supermodel of the world by Audrey, a magazine that covered Asians and Asian Americans in popular culture and fashion.
“Even now I don’t believe I am really a model, it’s very surreal to me,” Ming says in an interview in 2011. “I had no preconceptions about this career, I tend to just go with the flow. I never really gave [being a professional model] too much thought before. That said, I absolutely love what I’m doing now.”
Ming has continued to wow her audiences as she is truly a walking work of art. She had made her mother country proud as she continues to shine on stage on runways all around the globe.
Who Has Ming Xi Dated?
As a dedicated model, it seems like Ming Xi rarely gave time for her social life… or maybe she’s just too private about it. Either way, there isn’t a whole lot of information out there about her dating life. The only reported relationship that she had, apparently, was with Sean O’Pry, the American model. However, the rumored relationship seemed to last for a year only.
As of now, our dear Ming Xi is single and hopefully, she’s ready to mingle.
