Myla Dalbesio already made history when she became the first curvy model to pose for Calvin Klein. Now, she’s more than proud of achieving another goal, that is – to be a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s Rookie.
Myla Dalbesio took her glorious moment to Instagram as she shares, “This has been a goal of mine for a decade, and I am so proud to have gotten here, hope that this can be an example for other women to continue to stand strong in their convictions and not be afraid to use their voice.”
Myla, a size-10 model also posed on the beach for a series of sizzling bikini shots.
The model who grew up in Racine, Wisconsin has always regarded modelling as her art form. A self-declared feminist, Myla fought for every “plus-sized” model’s right to be treated as a model without that label.
She’s not just a model, but also a photographer. In fact, she photographer herself last year for the first non-nude issue of Playboy entitled “How to Photograph a Woman”
Myla has captured the hearts of many – both in modelling and voicing her convictions.
“I hope that this can be an example for other women to continue to stand strong in their convictions and not be afraid to use their voice,” Myla declares.
