Who is Saffi Karina?
Saffie is an English TV presenter, actress, and plus-size model who promotes the term (and hashtag) ‘Body Positivity’ body positivity with the help of her popular Instagram page. She has worked in numerous advertising campaigns like Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Speedo and John Lewis (to name a few).

Her Early Life
Saffie Karina was born on October 17, 1986, in England. She is of Cuban, Filipino, Hawaiian, and Irish descent.
Saffi began her career as a regular model but struggled earlier as she was often told to get her hip measurements down or to wear minimizing bras. She was eventually dropped out by her modeling agency as she failed to maintain a size 8. With time, her body changed as it became fuller and her hip size grew and so she decided to take a break from her career and just embrace her womanhood.
But seeing that the world needs to change its views on models, she made a comeback at size 12. Yup, this with a different modeling agency and started working as a plus-size model. She finds it to be a happier industry and feels that with her new found career, she can make a difference.
