Emily has walked the runways for Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy, rag+bone, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, and Giles Deacon, among others. Her Early Life
Emily Didonato was born on February 24, 1991, in Goshen, New York. She is of Italian, Irish, and Native American descent. Her great-grandparents came to the United States from Italy.
Tina Kiniry of the John Casablancas Modeling & Acting Agency of Connecticut scouted Emily at the Danbury Mall when she was 10 years old. Emily was then introduced to Request Model Management by Tina in 2008, and she quickly booked jobs as the face of Guess? clothing for spring 2009, as well as a model in Ralph Lauren’s “Rugby” spring 2009 ad campaign.
Career Journey
After graduating from high school with only a few months of modeling experience, she was signed as the face of Maybelline New York in May 2009, and made her television commercial debut for the company’s “Color Sensational Lip Color” line, alongside Christy Turlington, Jessica White, and Julia Stegner. Emily debuted as a Victoria’s Secret model in August 2009, and her first magazine cover appeared in The Block’s October 2009 issue.
Vogue Germany dubbed her the “top newcomer” ahead of New York Fashion Week in 2009.
In 2010, she was named the face of Giorgio Armani’s Acqua Di Gioia fragrance. Images of her from this campaign graced the cover pages of L’Oréal’s 2010 Annual and Financial Reports. Emily DiDonato appears in an Oysho advertising campaign for the summer of 2013.
She made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut in 2013.
Facts and Trivia
On June 23, 2018, Emily married financier Kyle Peterson. They announced her pregnancy with a baby girl in June 2021. On November 23, 2021, she gave birth. Emily announced her second pregnancy in October 2022.
