Lacrosse Superstar Alex Aust Is Just Gorgeous

Another seriously stunning athlete is stepping into the spotlight today—meet Alex Aust.  She’s right at that sweet spot where lacrosse, fitness, and influencer life all collide (and somehow make it look effortless).

Between being a pro athlete, an Under Armour ambassador, and a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, she brings the full package: elite performance, real visibility, and the kind of authenticity brands actually want—but rarely get.

And honestly?  Even if lacrosse isn’t your thing…  she still probably deserves a spot on your radar.  Consider this your gentle nudge.

Who is Alex Aust

A gold medalist with Team USA Lacrosse, Alex Aust is now suiting up for the Maryland Charm in the Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL)—and yes, she’s very much that athlete who makes the whole “elite and marketable” thing look easy.

She’s played across top-tier leagues like the United Women’s Lacrosse League, WPLL, and Athletes Unlimited, building a reputation not just for performance, but for actually being watchable (which, in sports marketing, is kind of the whole point).

Off the field, she doesn’t exactly slow down. She founded The Sweaat Life, a virtual fitness platform training 400+ women every week—so if you’ve ever complained about your workout, just know she’s already five sessions ahead.  She also runs national camps and club programs through Finish Line Lacrosse and East Coast Select, working with thousands of young athletes and families each year.  Basically, she’s building a whole ecosystem, not just a résumé.

Then there’s her 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit feature, which officially pushed her into crossover territory—where sports, lifestyle, and culture all overlap in a very brand-friendly way.

Put it all together—strong partnerships, real audience trust, and actual athletic credibility—and you get Alex Aust: a modern sports marketing dream, with a killer jump shot to match.

Early Life and Career

If being a three-sport standout sounds like overachieving, Alex Aust clearly didn’t get the memo.  She made her mark in field hockey, lacrosse, and basketball—basically refusing to pick just one lane until she absolutely had to.

As a junior, she was already stacking accolades: First Team All-American, Capital Lacrosse Club competitor, plus a whole alphabet soup of honors—All-ISL, All-MET (honorable mention), all-county, and All-Gazette First Team.  By senior year, she leveled up again, earning All-Gazette in both field hockey and basketball, while in lacrosse she added All-ISL, All-MET Second Team, Under Armour All-American, and team MVP.  At that point, choosing between basketball and lacrosse for college probably felt like picking a favorite child—but she ultimately chose lacrosse, heading to the University of Maryland to play under Cathy Reese. Good call, as it turns out.

During her four seasons with the Terrapins, Maryland won an ACC championship every single year—which is the kind of consistency most programs can only dream about.  As a freshman in 2010, she was part of the NCAA national championship team (casual).  By 2012, she set an ACC tournament record with 13 assists and led in points, and in 2013 she dropped a career-high five goals in a single game against Virginia.  Oh, and for a couple of seasons, she even shared the field with her younger sister Nicole—because apparently excellence runs in the family.

By the time she graduated, Aust had racked up 132 career assists (third-best in program history) and 275 total points, placing her sixth all-time among Maryland players.  Not quite satisfied, she returned to the program as Director of Operations—because leaving completely just isn’t her style.

On the pro side, she made history by playing in the very first game for the Baltimore Ride.  She didn’t score that game—just a brief warm-up, apparently.  In the very next matchup, she exploded for six goals against the Boston Storm, setting both team and league records.  A hat trick in each half, because doing things halfway has never really been her thing.

Facts and Trivia

From 2021 to 2023, Alex Aust competed in Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse, putting up 49 total points with a 43% scoring rate—quietly efficient, like someone who doesn’t waste time or possessions.

In 2025, she added another “first” to her résumé, becoming the very first player named to the Maryland Charm for the Women’s Lacrosse League’s inaugural season.  She suited up in the league’s opening games (history books, check), including matchups against New York Charging and Boston Guard.  The Charm dropped those early games—every good story needs a little drama—but bounced back with their first-ever win against the California Palms on February 15. Momentum, restored.

Meanwhile, her return to the University of Maryland reads like a steady promotion ladder done right.  She came back in 2023 as a volunteer assistant coach, moved up to Director of Player Development in 2024, and by the following season, she was an assistant coach.  Not bad for someone who never really left the building in the first place.

Off the field, Aust’s résumé is…  busy.  She’s been an Under Armour athlete since 2013, became the first female spokesperson for the HEADstrong Foundation in 2015, and has been running the show at Finish Line Lacrosse since 2014—organizing camps, clinics, and elite recruiting events across the country.  Translation: she’s not just growing the game, she’s basically running a franchise on the side.

She also supports the Give and Go Foundation, traveling internationally as a coach to help expand lacrosse globally—because apparently dominating one country wasn’t enough.

Then came 2021, when she made history as the first lacrosse player featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, officially stepping into crossover territory where sports meets culture meets “wait, she does everything?”

She’s represented by Athelo Group, balancing the business side of her career like a pro (because, well, she is one).

On the personal side, she’s married to fellow pro lacrosse player Marcus Holman—so yes, that’s a very competitive household.  And she proudly carries Thai heritage through her mother, adding another layer to a story that’s already doing the absolute most—in the best way.
