Her Early Life
Abigail Clancy was born on January 7, 1983, in Liverpool, Merseyside, the UK to Geoff and Karen Clancy. She has two brothers named Sean Clancy who is a footballer, plays for A.F.C. Telford United and John Clancy who is a singer. Abigail is of mixed Irish and English ancestry.
Abigail began her career as a model when she joined the second cycle of Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model in 2006. In May 2007, She appeared on the cover of Arena magazine and modeled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike in the Daily Mail newspaper. Abigail was also chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition.
Abigail has also presented several shows including ‘The Ultimate Bikini Guide’, ‘The Great Hairdresser’ and ‘Slave to Fashion’ all for C4. ‘The Parent Trip’, ‘This Morning Fashion’ for ITV and ‘Abbey and Janice Beauty and the Best’ for Living. Abigail has also fronted campaigns for Umbro, Reebok, Matalan, Avon, Lipsy, and Charlotte Tilbury. Abigail founded the girl band Genie Queen.
In 2007, she came ninth in a Daily Star readers’ poll to find the “best breasts in Britain”.
Abigail was ranked 37th in FHM magazine’s annual 100 sexiest women in the world poll of 2007 but dropped down to number 55 the following year. In 2009, She had moved up to 12th place, and in 2010 she went up to 10th place in the annual poll.
Abbey is married to footballer Peter Crouch, they married at Stapleford Park on the 30th June 2011. They have 4 children Sophia, Liberty, Johnny, and Jack.
In July 2012 The Sun Newspaper announced Abigail as their exclusive Beauty Columnist writer. Abigail was the subject of widespread criticism in her home town of Liverpool, as the paper was boycotted in the city for printing false allegations against supporters of Liverpool football club in the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989. Abigail later apologized for the column.
In 2019, Clancy cameoed as an angel in the promotional video for the song “In Another Life” by British rock band The Darkness.
